DEFRA is looking to recruit more members to join their Resources and Waste user panel to test and enhance their new digital services. They have a wealth of upcoming research, and they need additional panel members to ensure they have representative samples. The services members can preview in advance include the following: · Cups Scheme (fibre-based cups) · Extended Producer Responsibility · Green List Waste · Local Authorities Payment Scheme · Material Facilities · Packaging Recovery Notes and/or Packaging Export Recovery Notes · Report Packaging Data · Waste Exemptions · Waste Tracking · Waste Movements within the UK · Waste Exports from the UK Who are they looking for? They are interested in speaking with individuals who currently work or will soon work with packaging and waste. This includes, but it not limited to, those involved in production, exporting, reprocessing, importing, distributing, receiving and other related activities. They are also particularly interested in engaging with individuals from organisations that fall into the small producer category under pEPR (organisations who must report data but do not have to pay disposal cost fees). (Extended producer responsibility for packaging: who is affected and what to do. https://lnkd.in/ey_jKQrn If you have any questions, please reach out to #DEFRA’s panel manager, Sophie at sophie.werkshagen@defra.gov.uk. Do you want to save two months in your CSRD journey? The research for the right CSRD solution can be tedious, but it doesn't have to be. We have talked to companies that invested in months of research. The reason being that the market of #CSRD solutions is still quite new, there is a lot of movement in the market. 🤯 This makes it extremely difficult for companies to select the right solution for their needs. To support companies with that process, we launched the CSRD Solution Finder with AtlasZero. A guide that supports companies with the selection process. 🔍 Through the guide, companies can access a database of 100 CSRD solutions. And easily filter for the solutions that can potentially help with the CSRD report. This cuts down the research time of companies from months to minutes. ✂️ If you are interested, check out the CSRD Solution Finder on our website. I will put the link in the comments. 👇 #sustainablereporting #sustainability

We are excited to announce that our industry partners, FIPP - Connecting Global Media and Press Database and Licensing Network (PDLN), are organizing a webinar that promises valuable insights for FIBEP community. As we continue to build bridges with these two esteemed organizations, we invite our members to join the FIPP x PDLN Webinar: Collective Licensing. Publisher content in some applications – notably media monitoring – is often licensed through collective management organisations, but the majority of licensing is handled directly by publishers. New content use challenges like web scraping, text and data mining and AI raise questions about where the boundary between the collective and the direct approaches are best drawn. FIPP and PDLN are working together to help publishers make informed decisions on these decisions with a webinar bringing together experts with a range of views. The webinar will attempt to shine a light on publisher involvement in collective licensing and whether and when a collective approach is appropriate. This seminar is open to all, members and non members. September 19th 2024; 15.00 CET / 14.00 BST / 9.00 EST / online (Zoom platform) Details and links will be sent to registered attendees shortly before the event. For a while I have been meaning to give a shout out to Sweden’s Rikstermbanken – a state funded repository of terminology. It can trace its origins back to the 1930’s when radio technology was coming to Sweden and terms in Swedish had to be quickly standardized so the technology could be assimilated by the country. I have had the privilege on interacting with some of the staff in the past, and I believe it is an initiative that we can all draw some lessons from. https://lnkd.in/ebcufFCr You will need to get your browsers to translate – unless you speak Swedish. #businessglossary #semantics #data #datamanagement #datacatalog
