🐆 CCF UK was part of the #2024GlobalCheetahSummit! With fewer than 7,500 cheetahs left in just 9% of their historic range, urgent conservation measures are crucial. We brought together global experts to discuss key initiatives for immediate impact and future restoration plans. From delving into the intricate ecology of cheetahs to addressing the urgency of Ending the Illegal Wildlife Trade (IWT), and mapping out Cheetah Reintroduction initiatives, the summit covered crucial ground. 🌿 But it didn't stop there. We delved deep into creative strategies to combat primary existential threats —  human-wildlife conflict, loss of habitat, shrinking prey base, fragmentation, and illegal wildlife trade.  Together, we're shaping a future where cheetahs thrive. #SaveTheCheetah! #WildlifeProtection  #CheetahConservationFund

Together, we can ensure a thriving future for all. #NationalWildlifeDay #ProtectOurWildlife #JoinTheCause As of 2023, the United States is home to a vast array of wildlife, with approximately 432 species of mammals, over 800 species of birds, and 300 species of reptiles. Despite conservation efforts, nearly 1,300 species are currently listed as threatened or endangered under the Endangered Species Act. If this is indeed true that is very frightening as it includes almost all of our wildlife! The U.S. also faces significant challenges from habitat loss, climate change, and invasive species, which continue to impact the health and diversity of its ecosystems. Conservation programs remain critical in protecting these species and preserving the nation's rich biodiversity.
