How to make inclusion work in a workspace is a difficult question 😳 In UK, a report, presented to Business and Trade Secretary Kemi Badenoch by an independent panel, found there's little evidence DEI efforts such as mandatory antibias training and corporate policy overhauls have any positive effect on corporate culture. I think thats true ! What does work in my mind, is that we focus on practicing #inclusiveleadership, share the good stories, work with leaders who wants to focus on diversity beyond gender and nationality and create an enviroment of #physiologicalsafety. Also, respect everyone for what their unique qualifications are and find a flexible model to bring out the best in people. No one size fits all. https://lnkd.in/didQUSxR

This is a critical time for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in Corporate America. It's not a time to waver in fear, but it is a time to reassess your policies and programs. It's not a time to give up on your programs, it's a time to refine them and renew your commitments. Lily Zheng published some great advice for remaining compliant post affirmative action. This exclusivity perpetuated a cycle where individuals from privileged backgrounds had a more straightforward path to success, while others faced formidable obstacles.” The last few years have seen a change in this approach with law firms leading the way in the Social Mobility Employer Index, an annual benchmarking and assessment tool for employers, which evaluates employers’ efforts to enhance social mobility. As president, I led the charge to transform the legal profession making social mobility and equality, diversity and inclusion an absolute priority.
