I recently led a session to discuss how we can remain Human in the Age of Machines. Thanks for the opportunity Andrea Curnis. Here are few insights I shared during the session: - In our contemporary world, we are experiencing an unprecedented technological revolution, led by the rise of Artificial Intelligence. The lines between human and machine capabilities are becoming increasingly blurred, leading to some fascinating yet fearful developments. - Our lives are becoming more and more intertwined with technology. From our morning routines to our work life, technology is deeply embedded in our daily functions. - AI has emerged as a key disruptor in today's technological landscape. Its applications are vast and growing, reshaping our world in ways we could not have imagined just a few decades ago. - Like any technological revolution, the rise of AI has its pros and cons. While it has the potential to drive economic growth and revolutionize various sectors, concerns about job security and ethical implications are also prevalent. - A more insidious concern is the potential loss of our humanity as we become increasingly dependent on machines. Machines have now begun to emulate and sometimes even surpass humans in certain tasks, including those that require creativity. - As we rely more on machines, we risk ceding important decisions and responsibilities to them, raising important questions about the nature of our relationship with technology. Yet, it's crucial to remember: - While technology can mimic and sometimes surpass human capabilities, it cannot replace the essence of what makes us human. - The future of work will certainly require technical skills, but human qualities like emotional intelligence, empathy, and creativity remain irreplaceable. - As we embrace innovation, we must not forget the unique qualities that define us as humans. - Humans must make the final decisions, not machines! Many of the insights in this post have been inspired by the works of leading experts: Bernard Marr, Dr Hannah Fry and Andrew Ng. #AI #Technology #Humanity #FutureOfWork

I loved the session! I like that we didn't focus on negatives that come with AI and technology but emphasized the importance of balancing the two worlds. Enjoy the benefits of this modern age but remain an empathetic human being. 💜
