Implementing a soil improvement solution for water conservation through the golf course irrigation system is a game changer. We now start monitoring how much irrigation can be cut back while retaining soil moisture levels for optimal turf health and perfect playing surfaces. It will also be interesting to determine if our liquid mineral formula can improve capillarity on the turf surface, avoiding the hydrophobic layer that courses combat by spraying wetting agents/surfactants 1-2 times per month. A one-time application lasting 3-5 years can represent operational savings and environmental benefits extending beyond water conservation.
We're thrilled to share our latest project at Coyote Wash, where we're making strides in golf course restoration and water conservation! 💧🏌️♂️ Discover how our mineral turf solutions are transforming dry, sustainable golf courses, preserving precious water resources, and promoting environmental sustainability. 🌍 Check out our new video to see the impact we're making. 🎥👇

🌳 On this Earth Day, we celebrate everything that is proactive in preserving our planet. Here in Glasgow, there is the launch of a new nature and climate-friendly vision for the Glasgow City Region by the GCV Green Network. This visionary initiative, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals, encompasses five flagship projects: Clyde Peatlands, Clyde Climate Forest, Clyde Grasslands, Clyde Wetlands, and Clyde Greenways. Continuing the momentum from earlier efforts to develop a Blueprint for the Region, this vision strives to create "a sustainable and liveable place where people and wildlife can seamlessly navigate through an appealing and diverse landscape." Here at GIC we take sustainability seriously, and encourage our students to take care of our planet by using the recycling bins, reusing their own water bottles to reduce plastic and waste Let's join hands in building a greener, more resilient future for all. #EarthDay #GlasgowCityRegion #GreenVision #SustainableDevelopmentGoals #KaplanLife

It's Forest Stewardship Council's Forest Week, a global campaign held the last week of September. FSC Forest Week spotlights the importance of sustainable forest management. Forests are vital to life on Earth—they absorb carbon, purify the air, support biodiversity, and sustain millions of livelihoods. By supporting FSC-certified products, you contribute to the protection of these invaluable ecosystems and ensure they are managed in a way that respects both people and the planet. You can support Forest Week year round by: ✅ Choosing products with the FSC label. ✅ Advocating for sustainable forest management. ✅ Helping spread the word about the importance of conserving our forests.

Just six months after the deployment of our artificial reefs, we witnessed transformative results for our local fishermen in Pondicherry. Embracing sustainable fishing practices, now they are earning between Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000 daily, a significant uplift from their previous income. This success is complemented by their transition to hook-and-line methods, ensuring only adult fish are caught and safeguarding our juvenile marine life. This project is not just about enhancing livelihoods; it's a stride towards ecological sustainability, demonstrating the profound impact of our collective efforts towards conservation. This achievement is a clear testament to the power of sustainable initiatives in transforming lives and revitalising our oceans. It reinforces our belief that together, we can overcome challenges and build a brighter, more sustainable future for the coastal communities of Pondicherry.

[Sailors for the Sea Powered by Oceana ] is the world’s leading ocean conservation organization that engages, educates, and activates the sailing and boating community toward restoring ocean health. and one of the most exciting communities I have discovered lately they provide key 3 programs one of them is called (Green Boat) By signing up, you join the community and become a Green Boater. You receive a Green Boating Guide that answers questions like which non-toxic cleaning products work, how to anchor properly without damaging marine habitat, and what you need for spillproof fueling. https://lnkd.in/d5wiK6Vs what an interesting engaging tool :)

Happy Arbor Day! Created to inspire people to plant and nurture trees, Arbor Day also celebrates the managed forests that give us sustainable wood products. Did you know that... 🌲 Responsible forest management has resulted in more than 50 consecutive years of net forest growth in North America. 🌲 1.39 billion conifer seedlings are produced annually, or 36.8 per every million board feet produced. 🌲 Forest thinning and other management practices mitigate wildfires, cut carbon emissions, expand wildlife habitat, and create jobs in rural areas.
