A new survey reveals the number one technology for retailers and consumer packaged goods companies. While 57% of these companies plan to invest in predictive and generative AI in the next 3-5 years, AI and machine learning actually ranked fifth in importance for overall technology spend. Enhancing e-commerce capabilities led all technology spending priorities, followed by improving inventory management, demand forecasting, and leveraging data analytics, which made up the top four.
