Cutting expensive fabric can be very daunting. This fabric is by Timorous Beasties and it’s £160 per metre. Here’s a video showing how I cut it for an armchair. My tips are: - always check the pile is going in the right direction with a velvet (down the chair) - make sure you centre the fabric to the chair with a large pattern repeat like this - expect fabric wastage on a large pattern repeat like this - use the existing pattern where possible (particulary if it’s like this chair and is cut like a slip cover) - don’t sweat it, take your time. #fabric #upholstery #timorousbeasties #commission #tips #fabriccutting
