I am excited to spread the word about Muhlenberg College School of Graduate Studies’ groundbreaking Graduate Certificate program in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB). In today's rapidly evolving world, it is crucial to cultivate leadership abilities that promote acceptance and inclusivity. Students earning a Graduate Certificate in DEIB from Muhlenberg College distinguish themselves as DEIB Leaders, offering them an important edge in the job market, expanding their knowledge, and creating the opportunity to build long-lasting connections with other passionate professionals driving societal change. The online program consists of five courses that can be completed within a year, allowing students to balance their studies with personal and professional commitments. Students delve into critical topics such as unconscious bias, cultural competence, intersectionality, allyship, inclusive leadership, and much more. Feedback from our current DEIB graduate students has been phenomenal, and we are excited to welcome another cohort to the program for Fall ‘25. "Being able to interact with people with the same mission and vision and wanting to see our community become better was really meaningful to me," says Marci Martinez-Howey ‘25, Associate Vice President, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley To learn more about this exceptional program and begin the journey toward becoming an influential DEIB leader, visit https://lnkd.in/dK2iGYKx. All about yesterday training.. Day 5 of the PANS, Uniben leadership institute was a success!!. The training session was taken by David Dosu who is an Erasmus Mundus Physics Scholar and a brilliant innovative mind. Some key points I picked from the session were: 1. Try as much as possible to network and build relationship beyond your immediate environment because it can open up new perspectives and opportunities. 2.Embracing diverse view points can lead to more innovative and effective solutions in leadership. 3: when volunteering, don't just be a number but volunteer actively. 4: Dare to be daring. 5: Don't ask questions that can be answered by you/internet. 6: Didn't be too much close to your mentors, role model, lecturers e.t.c. As part of my professional and personal growth, I am committed to this journey and I will be learning skills that would be a boost to my development. #Leadership #CapacityBuilding #PANSUNIBENLeadershipInstitute

Principal at Central West Leadership Academy. Dubbo's newest primary and high school. Our focus is on 21st Century Skills and preparing our students to take a leadership role in an ever-changing technical world.
💪 Embracing competition and challenge At the Central West Leadership Academy, we believe in the transformative power of competition and challenge. Through participating in diverse competitions such as the Philosothon, Ethical Explorations Day, the Da Vinci Decathlon, Future Problem Solving, and more, our students embark on a journey of both self-discovery and skills enhancement. Why compete? Broadening horizons: Competitions introduce students to new social circles, expanding their perspectives and enhancing their social skills. Sharpening minds: The challenges of such competitions require critical thinking, creative problem-solving, and effective collaboration – essential skills for success both inside and outside the classroom. Discovering potential: Competing allows students to push their limits and recognise what’s truly possible, fostering a mindset that views challenges as opportunities for growth. These experiences are invaluable; they prepare our students for the complexities of the real world, where competition and collaboration go hand in hand. At the Academy, we don't shy away from competition; we embrace it, knowing that each challenge is an opportunity to learn, grow, and excel. #CreativeThinking #CriticalThinking #FutureLeaders #21stCenturySchool #education

This week, the Student Leadership Academy has embraced a new theme: "Fresh Perspective" 👀😎 While this concept may vary in interpretation, it generally entails either literally adopting a different viewpoint or figuratively understanding alternative perspectives on a given matter or topic. 💭 For me, this theme has inspired a simple yet profound approach: to reexamine everyday objects and uncover their inherent beauty. Embracing a fresh perspective on campus has truly been enlightening. It has allowed me to appreciate the often-overlooked details and find wonder in the mundane, thus expanding my outlook. 💙 In pursuit of this theme, a colleague and I ventured to explore the overlooked nooks and crannies of our campus, spaces we habitually pass by without a second glance. 🗺️ This week, I challenge you to join me in embracing a fresh perspective and discovering beauty in the ordinary. Whether you choose to do so literally or metaphorically, I encourage you to accept this challenge and broaden your horizons. 👀 Be sure to follow us on our Instagram and TikTok handles: @uwcsla #uwcsla #freshperspective #shiftingperspectives

🎓 Our Ed&IS Educational Leadership Program Student, Ifeanyi Onyejiji, sheds light on his dissertation brief, exploring the crucial link between career confidence and academic performance among students of color. Onyejiji's research delves into the intricate relationship between career self-efficacy, aspirations, and educational success for high schoolers hailing from low-income communities of color. Self-efficacy, as defined by researchers, is the belief in one's ability to navigate towards specific goals. Surveying 145 ninth and tenth-grade students at a charter high school in Southern California, Onyejiji's study offers invaluable insights. Additionally, semi-structured interviews with two staff members further enrich the findings.
