Partner, Educators Collaborative

20 August 2024 Dear Colleagues, As of August 1, 2024, I joined Educators Collaborative, LLC as a Partner.  As many of you know, the organization is a prominent search firm dedicated to working with schools to help recruit leadership talent and provide other services. What attracted me to Educators Collaborative is, ironically, that it takes its name seriously; it does not just help fill positions, but instead “collaborates” with the school to find that perfect fit. We, as a firm, take the time to get to know our clients, understand their immediate needs, and just as importantly, work with you in planning for the future. My background in education spans decades. To say that I have experienced it all, might well be a proverbial understatement. I started as a classroom teacher (Latin and music), served as Director of Admissions and Financial Aid, served as the Director of College Counseling, was the Director of Diversity, worked as Assistant Head for External Affairs, and was Head of School. For the last 14 years, I was Executive Director of the New Jersey Association of Independent Schools, overseeing accreditation, professional development, and ensuring the independence of the 90 schools in the organization. My experience has provided me with the opportunity to look at the needs of schools through myriad lenses on many different levels. At this point in my career, I decided to channel my efforts towards working with schools to find the best fits for them. I will be leading searches for Head of School, Assistant Head of School, Interim Head of School, Division Head, Deans, Director of Admissions/Enrollment Manager, Director of Development/Advancement, CFO/Business Manager, Director of Communications, Director of College Counseling, and Director of Diversity. I will also be leading long-term projects aimed at leadership development, governance, Board of Trustee consulting, retreats, workshops, succession planning, Head of School evaluation, strategic visioning and planning. I will soon be scheduling short meetings, and would like to set a time to get re-acquainted with you and your school. I understand that you may not have any immediate needs, but a goal I have in this new role is to be proactive, accessible, and up-to date. Wishing you a wonderful rest of the summer! With all best wishes, Sincerely, Carole
