🚀 Second Year at ENISO: A Journey into Robotics After my internship at NJIT, my fascination with robotics took off. Eager to dive deeper into the field, I started my second year at ENISO with an incredible challenge and a series of exciting opportunities. --- 🔧 Project: 4-Wheeled Bluetooth-Controlled RC Car 🔧 --- I took on the challenge of designing, assembling, and programming a 4-wheeled Bluetooth-controlled RC car for off-road races and competitions across Tunisia. This hands-on project taught me essential skills in hardware design, system integration, and control programming. Every step, from blueprinting the mechanics to writing the control algorithms, was a new lesson in problem-solving. --- 📚 Robotics Courses & Advanced Tools 📚 --- In parallel, I followed courses in basic and advanced robotics, where I explored kinematics and control systems. Throughout the year, I honed my skills using tools like MATLAB, CoppeliaSim, ROS, and RViz. By the end, I was not only able to understand direct and inverse kinematics but also developed the ability to program and control servos to command an articulated robot. --- 🏫 Robotic Training at American Corner Sousse 🏫 --- In addition to technical growth, I developed my soft skills by conducting robotics training for undergrads at American Corner - Sousse. I focused on simplifying complex concepts to guide participants in building their first robot. After just 3 hours of hands-on learning, we assembled, coded, and controlled robots together. It was amazing to see their enthusiasm and how much we achieved in such a short time!

I'm creating robotics mini-courses! What topics would you like to learn about? If you're a college-age student or right out, do you feel that you are prepared to get a job? Having talked to 100s, they say the work tends to be too academic and mathematical and not practical enough. I personally do not think spending $200,000-$300,000 for a 4-year degree is fair. Especially when it seems that only 10-20% of robotic engineers actually find a long-lasting job in robotics! I already have a list of topics that I have learned to get 6-figure jobs, but I want to also teach what you are interested in and merge that into what I know companies are looking for. With these mini-courses, I believe students will actually be able to compete with senior-level engineers... Instead of being told they don't have enough experience for the job!

Very useful! This covers it all
I remember after graduating with my masters and looking for a job in robotics, it was very hard to know how I should prepare for an interview for specialized roles like "Robotics Software Engineer - Motion Planning" or "Robotics Software Engineer - Controls". There was very little information on what the interview process looks like and how to best prepare for it. This inspired me to write this series on "How to become a Robotics Engineer", which breaks down different roles/specialties/skillsets for common roles in industry. Part 1: https://lnkd.in/e6CbJ_Am Part 2: https://lnkd.in/e_hK4SMM Looking at how fast the industry is growing and the many exciting career opportunities ahead, I wanted to revisit this and see how I could be of value to any of you looking to transition into robotics or new grads looking to secure your first job. What are the biggest challenges you are facing (or have faced in the past) when looking for a job in robotics? This could include anything from finding the right opportunity to going through the interview process to ramping up in a new role. #robotics #roboticsengineering #roboticsgrad #roboticstalent #roboticsjobsearch #jobsearch
