I'm happy to have the opportunity to share some thoughts on this particular topic regarding Human Capital and Digital Mindset. As a Finance person (in most cases i still considered myself a Finance person, although i am also coping with several areas outside Finance), to have a Digital Mindset might not be that difficult. But the challenge is how to translate the Digital Mindset into our daily work life. We need to endlessly update our knowledge on the latest digital technology especially those related to our work. We are also required to have the ability to "foresee" how will this digital technology: simplify, automate, reduce or even replace our work. And for most of Finance person, to allocate some of our time and switch our attention to learn about the latest update on digital technology, is arduous. This is considering we live from one closing cycle to another closing cycle; from one reporting period to another reporting period; from one planning calendar to another planning calendar............ This is where HR plays a pivotal role on how to structure such an alluring learning session that will be able to "switch" Finance people attention - for a while - from daily routine. It should not merely be a "What" and "How" learning session but also "Why" and "When" this digital technology affecting and will be changing Finance people and Finance areas now and in the near future. Related to workforce age group who is currently mostly contributed by Millennials and Gen Z, having Digital Mindset should even be easier due to their nature of digital native. As for Gen X (like me), i need to go extra miles to "catch up" with the rapid technology development. Hence for me, besides "Digital Mindset", i also need to have "Growth Mindset": Never have a thought that we know the best or better than our team. Never be reluctant to learn from our team. Learned a lot at the KPMG event on property and Indonesia's growth! Data is key for businesses in real estate - it helps them make better decisions, improve tenant experiences, and drive innovation. The focus is shifting from internal operations to offering data-based services for tenants and investors. Building a data-driven approach takes time and effort, not just technology. Real estate is a big part of Indonesia's economy, so policies that help this sector also help the whole country. The public and private sectors need to work together, especially with rapid urbanization. Public housing and urban development are important too. Everyone involved in real estate, like banks and regulators, needs to keep up with new technologies and sustainability goals. #Indonesia #Property #KPMG

This insightful event, held in collaboration with Indonesia Stock Exchange, was a remarkable gathering of financial leaders, where we discussed the theme: “𝘉𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘗𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘤 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘺: 𝘜𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐𝘙 𝘉𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘗𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘴.” The insightful discussions were led by esteemed panelists: • Mylene K., Executive Director, J.P. It was an excellent opportunity to network with fellow CFOs, and gain insights into navigating the current economic climate. I am currently up north with my PwC Malaysia team to conduct a presentation on the topics of ESG, e-invoicing and workforce trends to the business community in the state of Kedah. The event was organised by KISMEC and attended by more than 100 participants from various organisations. It was a highly productive session with strong engagement from the audience. Below are the key points I shared during my presentation: 1. I highlighted recent developments in energy transition, regulatory trends and capital markets. My perspective is that, rather than viewing ESG merely as a compliance framework, we should see it through the lens of structural changes in global economic demand and the opportunities it presents. 2. I gave examples of how ESG factors can have a strategic impact on businesses, not just in terms of reducing emissions but also in driving new product innovation. I presented a case study on how new entrants have penetrated an entrenched global car market through EVs and product innovation. 3. I also emphasised the importance of regulatory compliance and how ESG considerations are being incorporated into our regulatory framework, with significant implications for businesses. I provided an overview of the National Sustainability Reporting Framework (NSRF), which was issued a few weeks ago, and offered advice on how businesses can prepare for it. Overall, it was an engaging session, and I would like to express my appreciation to my fellow partner and director who shared the stage with me.
