✨ Gratitude and Reflections at Year-End ✨ As we approach the end of the year, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to the management and HR at CommScope for their thoughtful gesture of providing much-needed a week of paid leave during this year-end time. It’s truly motivating to work for an organization that values and recognizes the hard work and dedication of its employees. This year has been a milestone for me personally and professionally. Transitioning from the Test Team to taking full ownership of designing new features from scratch has been a challenging yet rewarding journey. Developing requirements, crafting FSDS details, and leading a team to complete the end-to-end design of a new feature pushed me out of my comfort zone—and I’m incredibly proud of what we achieved together. I’m also immensely grateful for the company’s Learn@Commscope program, which gave us access to invaluable internal training sessions and Prompt AI courses. These resources, made available through various platforms, were instrumental in building the skills and confidence needed to tackle these responsibilities. 🎉 One month in at BMS Performance with this crazy lot! 🎉 I CANNOT believe today is offically my first month at BMS Performance. I wanted to give a shoutout to the amazing people who have made this transition so successful. Starting in a new industry can always be daunting, but with the support of my incredible manager Ben Illingworth and teammates Oliver Wilson - Business Development Executive and Alfie McNab I’ve felt nothing but encouragement and guidance. Thank you all for being so generous with your time and expertise – I’m lucky to be part of such an encouraging team! 🙌 There is also so many more people I could thank 🫶🏼 I’m beyond excited to be in a company with such a fantastic company culture. This month, our office hit a significant milestone: three wonderful years of creativity, collaboration, and success. I've hit 120 days at Genomenon, Inc, and I'm proud of the remarkable progress our People team has made in less than 3 months. Here are some key milestones we've reached together: 1. Migrated to flexible PTO: Ensuring folks can take time away to recharge. 2. Upgraded benefits providers & finished open enrollment: Enhancing our benefits package. 3. Hired ~20 Team Members: Expanding our talented workforce. 4. Onboarded CKB's dedicated team: Strengthening collaboration and capabilities. 5. Held a US and Bosnian-based Summit: Fostering unity across our global team. 6. Wrote V1 Job Architecture for our largest teams: Establishing clear career and growth paths for people managers and makers alike. How did we achieve this so quickly? What have we learned? ✅ Prioritizing critical work has enabled us to achieve so much in a short time with limited resources. 🙅♀️ Deprioritization is equally important. This focus is key when leading a People function at a company of nearly 200 team members across two countries (especially compared to smaller orgs). 👩🚒 As a wise leader (Daniel Estrada) once told me: you have to let some fires burn because sometimes they extinguish themselves. It’s something I’ve struggled to maintain recently… The month of June has been a roller coaster of energetic highs and lows: Started with a cold —> Feeling mostly recovered, off to Boston to lose my voice nearly completely after a 3hr facilitated session in partnership with Entrepreneurs' Organization’s Masters Program at Massachusetts Institute of Technology —> 1 day and 1 forgotten passport later (big shoutout to my wife, my ride or die, who was on the first plane to Boston to deliver my passport to me so I could make my flight) off to Toronto —> Struggled to deliver an executive session for JLL’s Global CEO Christian Ulbrich and 130 of his top execs around the world —> 1 day later struggled to deliver a keynote to leaders of IPG Mediabrands while still managing to impact and inspire —> Slowly regaining my voice after what seemed like hundreds of hot teas, steam showers, and Canadian lozengers, off to Seattle from Toronto to deliver a keynote to over 2,000 of today’s brightest minds as part of Microsoft’s ASPIRE conference centered on empowering their new hires from around the world —> After so many memorable encounters with these incredible humans, I find renewed hope and excitement for the future —> Back home only to test positive for COVID —> Spent 5 days in recovery —> Celebrated my 43rd birthday finally feeling on the mend —> Back on the road to engage with a client in the retail industry and watch my team light up the stage —> Then today engaged with over 1,000 rock stars of Astellas Pharma feeling vibrant, refreshed, and LIT UP for this work of mine The month hasn’t gone as planned. But it was riddled with opportunity: To NEVER take my voice for granted again To reflect in gratitude knowing the strength and determination that flows through me I’m forever grateful to all my clients for their grace these past few weeks Whew. As I reflect on the past year, I am filled with tremendous gratitude and a deep sense of fulfilment. From attending NABA in Las Vegas, to meeting the dynamic TA Teams in Sunnyvale and Hoboken, and to participating in the enriching Recruiter Toolbox training at our home office campus in Bentonville, it's been an extraordinary ride.  The team we've built this year fills me with immense pride. We've navigated challenges, celebrated victories, and grown together, both personally and professionally. Resilience has been our defining word this year. We have weathered storms, adapted to changes, and emerged stronger, setting the stage for an exciting future. This year saw us engage in a significant 'remodeling' phase. As we put the final touches, I look forward to the transformation that's ahead of us. The start of a new year brings fresh beginnings, new opportunities, and new goals to conquer. As we gear up for the forthcoming year, we will focus on being Proactive, Predictive, and People-centric. I felt marooned during my first month with Achievers. In fact, it was 13 months before I actually met a person in-person. My company had been acquired, I found myself on a new team, working from home, smack dab in the middle of the pandemic. One of the first things I was tasked with doing was a product launch. I’d done many during my career, but never one at Achievers and I had no sense of what the standards were. I didn’t have the chance to wander the halls or swivel my chair to my left or right to ask what great looked like. Marooned. So I tapped into the collective wisdom of my new community. I’ve long held that a recognition platform is not just a way to say thank you at scale, it’s a way to curate peer-validated skills. I logged into our recognition program and using the global search feature I entered “product launch” and instantly got a filtered list of employees that had been recognized for doing a great job at a product launch. Instant network within my first 30 days. These sorts of connections are critical at work. When organizations make it easy for employees to access the people, resources and peer-validated skills they need so they can be productive and positive from anywhere they’re more than twice as likely to feel they belong at work. Connection helps us manage change of all sorts. Research from Achievers Workforce Institute (AWI) shows that when employees are connected to the mission of their organization, their manager and their colleagues, their resilience soars. They feel they can survive and thrive through anything. There’s no better technology than frequent recognition - within the flow of work - to make these types of connections possible, to impact how employees feel about their work, to connect them to the behaviours that drive performance and to serve as a protective measure for outcomes like productivity and engagement that the company cares about. I’m excited to return to the bright lights of the Gartner ReImagine stage in Orlando at the end of October with Sandra Garcia (CRP, GRP, CCP, WLCP) from General Motors where we’ll talk through how to make these types of connections frequent and meaningful.

Annual Leave Reflections: A Thrilling First Quarter for Bright Network's New Partnerships Team! 🌟 Taking a moment as I start annual leave to reflect on an exhilarating Q1 for the new partnerships team at Bright Network. Here are some of our standout achievements: 🚀 Anna De Pascalis has had a phenomenal start. First Being promoted. Then go on to partner with more clients than ever before—an impressive feat given the current macroeconomic climate! We also both got to spend the weekend dancing in our special place, Paris for Fête de la musique. 🌍 We onboarded some of the world's biggest employers across sectors like FMCG, Technology, Construction, and Law and Asset Management. 🤝 Collaborated with our German team to bring new clients on board, hiring students and graduates in both markets. It was fascinating to navigate the differing hiring objectives between these regions. 🤖 Delivered research and a student-led panel session on how early talent is leveraging AI in the recruitment process at the ISE 🎉 Welcomed new employers to join our existing clients at our annual Summer Social. 🖥 Also we've had more invites into the office for kick offs. It's great to get back to that pre-lockdown level of face to face connection! We're beyond excited for Q2!
