Edwards Lifesciences’ Post

Dianne is an active volunteer in her community, working with her church, the local historical society, and an organization that trains and places free service dogs with people living with disabilities. After having a heart attack and learning of a heart valve defect, she received a valve replacement. In retirement, she committed to giving back full-time. ❤️ We’re so grateful to Dianne for joining us at The #PatientExperience earlier this year and sharing her story. Her perspective will help us continue improving our technologies for future patients. #WhatMakesOurHeartsBeat #HeartHealth #HeartOfInnovation

  • Dianne, an Edwards heart valve recipient, poses with her hands in the shape of a heart. Her quote reads, “I had a heart attack and during the stent procedure, my care team discovered a heart valve defect. They recommended a valve replacement. After working as a hairdresser and owning my own salon for over 40 years, I decided to retire following the procedure. Now, I stay active by volunteering in the community. My husband and I train and raise service dogs that are provided to patients free of charge.”
