EBYR illustrators Jeska Verstegen and Juan Palomino were honored this week at the New York Times/New York Public Library Best Illustrated Children's Books Awards luncheon at the New York Public Library. 🤩 Jeska won for Bear Is Never Alone, written by Marc Veerkamp, and Juan earned honors for The Young Teacher and the Great Serpent, written by Irene Vasco and translated by Lawrence Schimel. This is the second year in a row that EBYR has had two winners. Congratulations to all! 🎉
