European Society of Thin Films’ Post

Last Thursday, many participants attended the last day of #PSE2024. The Early Career Awards were presented in the Award Session. Third place went to Dr Honglong Che, Dalian University, China. Second place was awarded to Dr Luka Hansen, Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel, Germany. First place went to Dr Marcus Hans, RWTH Aachen University, Materials Chemistry, Germany. The PSE Leading Scientist Award went to Prof Dr Andre Anders - CEO of the Leibniz Institute of Surface Engineering (IOM) Leipzig, Germany, who is internationally recognised for his outstanding work. Many thanks for the dignified presentation to Prof Dr Michael Thomas, Fraunhofer IST, Chairman of EJC/PISE. We would like to take this opportunity to once again express our appreciation to the award winners and wish them every success in their future careers. The #PSE2024 programme came to an end with three parallel sessions. In addition to a large amount of information, the participants will take the extremely positive energy of the conference home with them. We are already looking forward to welcoming you as a participant at #PSE2026. Preparations have already begun. Your PSE team
