VERSATILE LEADER, STRATEGIST, STORYTELLER, EXECUTIVE COACH, CHIEF OF STAFF, BUILDER, CHANGE ACTIVATOR, MENTOR, ADVOCATE, ALLY, AND CHAMPION (My opinions are my own, and I warmly welcome you to open my mind to new ideas.)
#RareDiseaseDay #CheckYourSkin #EarlyDetectionSavesLives Our skin is our largest organ, and it covers an awful lot of real estate. If you haven’t already started, please closely monitor your skin for any changes, such as mysterious spots that don’t heal, oddly colored markings, irregularly shaped moles or patches, discolorations that grow in size, etc. Have a family member check your hard-to-see areas, such as your scalp and back. Take photos and watch for changes over time. If anything troubles you or causes suspicion, please get it checked out quickly. Also, if you feel in your gut that something is just not right, always request a skin biopsy. It takes no time for a doctor and is mostly painless for you. I promise the peace of mind — or early detection — is so worth it. P.S. Don’t let any medical professionals wave off your concerns because cancer can look different on everyone, and sometimes the “harmless-looking spots to a doctor that seem different/off to you” can be anything but harmless. You know your body best. Always.❤️ #WishingYouGoodHealth
