🎉 Nerissa Chaux and I just got back from our End-of-Year (EOY) trip to the Philippines and I'm feeling inspired to share how crucial these gatherings are for Filipino teams like ours. At the heart of Filipino culture is a strong sense of community and togetherness, something that's brilliantly reflected in our EOY parties. These events are more than just a fun time; they're a vital part of our work culture. Why are they so important? Here are a few reasons: Celebrating Achievements: They offer a platform to recognize the hard work and successes of the year. It's a time to look back, appreciate the journey, and celebrate the milestones we've conquered together. Strengthening Bonds: These parties are perfect for team bonding. Away from the hustle of work, we get to connect on a more personal level, which in turn, strengthens our professional collaborations. Boosting Morale: There's nothing like a good party to boost morale. It's an excellent way to recharge our batteries, lift our spirits, and get us excited for the challenges ahead. Embracing Culture: For us, it's also about embracing and celebrating our Filipino team, which is full of warmth, hospitality, and joy. Our EOY party was nothing short of awesome – a true testament to the vibrant spirit and unity of our team. I believe that these gatherings are not just a nice-to-have, but a crucial ingredient in fostering a supportive and enthusiastic work environment. Here's to more celebrations and continued success in the coming year! 🌟 #TeamBuilding #WorkCulture #EOYCelebration #FilipinoSpirit

Interesting research from Gartner about global workforces indicates: * 20% of employees are currently working fully remote among tech organizations with less than 1,000 employees. * 75% of respondents of their 2022 Gartner Borderless IT Workforce Survey agreed that a borderless workforce helped their organization improve diversity of thought and innovation. * Only 36% of these respondents provided specific training about major national cultural norms and differences of the countries they hire borderless people from. * 59% of respondents asserted that DEI adjustments are necessary to accommodate the cultural aspects of borderless workforces. For years Nerissa Chaux has received very specific and positive feedback about the power of how cultural training help new managers understand nuances of different work cultures. The world is a big place, with different cultures, languages and nuances. To be success in working cross borders is to understand and accept that people are different around the world, and one style does not fit all. Nerissa Jaime Andrea Jeliane Carolina

To anyone with teams in the Philippines, please be mindful that there's currently some volcanic smog around the Calabarzon / Metro Manila area due to activity from Volcano Taal. This may cause major disruptions to work from office employees as travel may become difficult, and minor disruptions to work from home employees especially those with children (as schools have been suspended). To everyone on the area, please take care if you are walking around outside. #philippines #manila #taal Nerissa Chaux

Starting on the 26th, Australia’s new right to disconnect laws take effect, giving employees the protection they deserve by safeguarding them from non-emergency work communications outside of business hours. For a business like ours that operates 24/7, this change highlights the importance of truly understanding the workflows and boundaries within our global team.
