Exciting news for Portsmouth! We're thrilled to announce that we’ve partnered with 'Pads on a Roll' by Egal Pads, Inc to launch a pilot programme providing free access to sanitary pads inside toilet stalls across 10 locations in the city. This initiative aims to support those who might be caught short without sanitary products while out and about. A huge thank you to Niamh D'Arcy at Egal for making this possible and for helping us provide accessible period products for the residents of Portsmouth! Period products can sometimes be difficult to access, and asking for them can feel embarrassing or disempowering. This pilot offers a discreet way for people to get the products they need, without having to ask anyone. We’re focusing on high-deprivation areas and services most affected by the cost-of-living crisis, ensuring that support reaches those who need it most. The pilot will run for 60 days, after which we’ll evaluate its effectiveness and explore the possibility of long-term implementation. Today, we're also launching our Cost-of-Living hub blog, highlighting where Portsmouth residents can find affordable or free period products in the city. We hope this resource will be of great help to our community during these challenging times. https://lnkd.in/eTFEnNzz Keep an eye out for our posters and dispensers across the city, and if you come across them, please consider filling in the short survey to share your thoughts! And a special shoutout to my assistant Keeta, who’s been hard at work helping me with the distribution effort. 🐈🐾

Lana, I couldn't have asked for a better partner to roll out a pilot with! Thank you so much for bringing this into action and for all of your work on this. I've loved working with someone equally as passionate about period care access as well as how this ties into the broader conversation about menstrual health. The blog and location grouping is a real testament to driving this towards big change. Thank you!
