In sales and not happy at work? Don’t quit yet. The first step before quitting is understanding why you are not happy. Think: 1. Is it the role and responsibilities? 2. Is it the company culture and environment? 3. Is it the sector? By understanding the problem, you can gain clarity on your next move. For example, if it’s the role and responsibilities, you might consider doing a functional move in your current company. In other words, change role or department. Once you have clarity, you can work on your change by: ▶ Volontureeing in other departments ▶ Starting a side business or project ▶ Networking with your colleagues or people in the role you target On my side, I worked on career coaching as a side project for 2 years before taking the big jump.
