In celebration of my 6-year journey with Amador Club / Wingtip, I'm taking a moment on the 6 days leading up to my anniversary on June 6th to reflect on some cherished projects and aspects of my role. For the first post, I want to kick things off by shining a spotlight on the team. Personally, there's nothing more fulfilling to me than making people feel seen and celebrated, which is why this aspect of my job holds a special place in my heart. Here's how we make it happen: 🖥️ TEAM PAGE: Our website features a dedicated page that showcases every member of our team. I'll never forget the gratitude expressed by someone who reached out via our inquiry form, expressing how much they valued seeing everyone, from front of house to the back of house. Every member of the team helps make this organization run and deserves to be recognized and celebrated. 📱 #WEAREWINGTIP: Through social media posts and newsletter write-ups, we highlight our team members and the things that make them unique. The focus is more on who they are as people instead of their resume. Here you might find their go-to karaoke song or a story on their most memorable meals. Because as we know and acknowledge, we are more than our jobs. ✏️ HANDWRITTEN NOTES: The power of a handwritten note remains unparalleled. While some may dismiss it as cheesy, there's immense value in the simple act of acknowledging someone's birthday or expressing gratitude for their contributions. It's these small gestures that can truly brighten someone's day and foster a sense of belonging within our team. As I look back on these moments, I'm reminded of the incredible bonds that unite us. Stay tuned for more reflections as I continue this countdown to my anniversary! #workanniversary #culture #team

Statuspost 1/5 & an important lesson learned: never promise a Linkedin post on a specific day, or else you might be working late 😴 So, on to the question: What have we done so far? It's been a fun, hectic and busy month. Some highlights: • Found a great place to work: Matrikel1 • Formed an online tag-team with my colleagues Erik Hulsbos & Raoul Kariem • 16 external meetings at some really cool places • Met more new people than in the past 12 months combined • Found 1 new Padel buddy • Flew big box of books to Copenhagen (cat was happy with it too) • Released Indsigt, our Danish PR Survey report • 2 active Smart.pr trials And most importantly: happy to have 3 new clients onboard (more on them later!)

Helping 150+ Tech Founders Design Their Dream Apps | CEO at Jack Studios | Servant Leadership | Mental Health Advocate
Lawrie Fraser from Basrus dropped me a message with a cool idea – how about our teams in Joburg grab lunch together? It's not every day you hear from someone keen on building a culture similar to what we've been nurturing at Jack Studios. So, of course, we said yes! And where did we end up? The Higher Ground restaurant. Talk about a spot that lives up to its name! It was fantastic to step out of the digital bubble and meet face-to-face with other small teams in our industry, all committed to strengthening their offline cultures. The coolest thing was learning about how competitive the Basrus team is! They've got this app with all sorts of challenges – from tracking who's the fittest to a weekly waffle eating and smoothie challenge. Sometimes, all it takes is a bit of friendly competition—and, of course, fun—to bring a team together. We would love to connect with other small teams, so why not make it a thing? We're already planning to invite the Basrus crew for a game of Padel. If your team is up for some fun, camaraderie, and maybe a little friendly competition, why not join us? Let's make those offline connections that add so much to our work and lives. Drop me a message if you're interested. Let's get those lunches (and games) on the calendar! #JackStudios #Networking #Competition #Team

Turning Work into a Family Affair: Insights from the Kite Festival! 🪁 Let me spill the beans on our recent professional learning escapade at a kite festival, and yes, the whole fam came along! 🌈 So, imagine this – workshops in the day, kite festival fun with the family by night. Work and play in one go – who knew it could be so cool? We dived into work stuff during the day – picking up new skills, teaming up for challenges, and all that jazz. But here's the twist – the festival energy was the secret sauce that made it way more fun. Our family dynamics got a boost too – just like those kites soaring high. We did work stuff and also solved real-life challenges together. Team building at its finest, with laughter and colorful kites in the mix. The marketplace was like a carnival – artisans, colors, and crafts. It mirrored the diversity of skills we were soaking in during the day. It was like a skills carnival, if you will! Evenings were the highlight. We joined the locals in flying kites under the starry sky. Family and colleagues side by side, navigating kites – a surreal blend of work and play. Looking back, it wasn't just a professional learning thing; it was a family adventure. We're back at work, but the memories are alive. Lesson learned: Work can be fun, and it's even better when shared with the ones you love. 🌟🚀 #FamilyAdventure #KiteFestivalFun #WorkAndPlay"
