🔵 Yesterday, Eurogas helped organise and took part in the first workshop of the #UnionDatabase Prime Movers Group on Guarantees of Origin.   💡 This day-long event brought together over 300 stakeholders to discuss the development of the Europe-wide Union Database, and the integration of #GuaranteesOfOrigin and #ProofOfSustainability.   The Union Database is an EU initiative to ensure the transparency and traceability of #renewablefuels counting towards the targets laid out in the Renewable Energy Directive. 🔎 With the #UDB, Europe will have a database that supports the traceability of the sustainable characteristics of renewable fuels, to ensure that they are indeed eligible to count towards our climate targets.
