The importance of Sadaqah Jariyah and Its Reward Sadaqah jariyah, also known as continuous charity, is a type of charity that continues to benefit others even after the donor is gone. It is considered one of the most important and rewarding acts of charity in Islam. There are many different ways to perform sadaqah jariyah. Some common examples include: Building or donating to a mosque, school, or hospital. These institutions provide essential services to the community and will continue to do so for years to come. Donating to a charity that provides food, water, or shelter to the poor. These charities help to alleviate suffering and improve the lives of those in need. Pledging to give a portion of your income to charity on a regular basis. This is a great way to make a difference in the world and to create a lasting legacy. The rewards of sadaqah jariyah are immense. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: a continuing charity, knowledge that benefits others, or a righteous child who prays for him." Sadaqah jariyah is a powerful way to earn Allah's pleasure and to leave a lasting legacy of good. It is an act that can be performed by anyone, regardless of their financial situation. Here are some specific examples of the rewards of sadaqah jariyah: It can lead to forgiveness of sins. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Every good deed is a shadaqah, and even meeting your brother with a cheerful face is a shadaqah." It can increase one's wealth. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "The one who spends for the sake of Allah, Allah will replace it for him." It can help to protect one from punishment in the grave. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "When the son of Adam dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: a continuing charity, knowledge that benefits others, or a righteous child who prays for him." Sadaqah jariyah is a truly beneficial act that can have a positive impact on both the giver and the receiver. It is a great way to show our love for Allah and to help others in need.
