A very big thank you to all the amazing people with Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana for giving us the opportunity to volunteer at your Indianapolis food bank during our annual eHealth, Inc. season of giving. We are a remote-first company, but that didn't stop us from organizing volunteer activities across the country this year. #GleanersFoodBank #Indianapolis #SeasonOfGiving #CommunityService #RemoteWork #FoodBankVolunteer #eHealthInc #GiveBack

Recruit, support and celebrate volunteers so that you can keep making an impact, without burning yourself out💥 EMCC Senior Practitioner Coach 🌊 Deputy Mayor for Teignmouth, South Devon 🌳
Do you believe you have the power to make a difference? This week I attended the AGM for TeignAid. Their incredible volunteers support homeless people and those at risk of homelessness in Teignmouth and Dawlish. Often these people will be given emergency housing, but it’s in a different area. They have to leave behind their community, adding loneliness to their struggles, and costing them a fortune travelling for medical appointments or to get their children to school - not to mention the the time it takes, making it impossible to work and improve things for themselves. They may not have cooking facilities, making it expensive to eat - either in cafes and takeaways, or buying snack foods. Not only is this expensive, it is difficult to eat healthily too, exacerbating their health conditions. Even with professional support, the system to find permanent, safe accommodation is difficult to navigate and a slow process. There must be times when it feels impossible for clients, and for the TeignAid volunteers trying to help them. That’s when this belief can be essential in reminding them to keep going and that they are making a difference, even when it feels like an uphill struggle. TeignAid work closely with Teignmouth Mutual Aid Community Larder and Volunteering in Health to make a difference for some of the most vulnerable people in our community, who can often go unheard. If you can spare an hour or two a week to support them in any way, please send them a message. #volunteersweek

🌟 Giving Back to Our Communities Through Community Service 🌟 Community service is a powerful way to make a positive impact and foster connections. Here are some tips to get involved and make a difference: 1. **Find a Cause:** Choose a project that resonates with your team and addresses a local need. - **Example:** If you love animals, consider volunteering at the humane society to help care for pets in need. 2. **Get Involved:** Volunteer your time, skills, or resources. Every little bit helps! 3. **Collaborate:** Partner with local organizations to maximize your impact. 4. **Share Your Story:** Inspire others by sharing your experiences on social media. Giving back enriches our lives and builds stronger, more connected communities. Let’s make a difference together! 🌍❤️ #CommunityService #GivingBack #Volunteer #TeamSpirit #MakeADifference

Tips for Seniors: Living in a senior community offers plenty of activities! Sign up for something different this month and invite a family member to join. If you're not in a senior community, local senior centers or park districts can help you find new activities. Consider attending a sporting event, trying a new restaurant, or visiting a museum. Learn to cook or play an instrument. Volunteering at a school, library, or hospital is another great way to stay active and engaged. #SeniorLiving #HealthyAging #StayActive #WellnessTips

Volunteering at the Long Island Coalition for the Homeless’s Sort & Pack event was nothing short of epic! Seriously, seeing everyone—from kids to grandparents—come together to support one cause was just fantastic. I mean, who knew packing backpacks could be so motivational? Helping a community like LICH keeps me going; I could tell everyone else felt the same energy. Now, let’s talk about the heat. I haven’t sweat that much since…well, ever. It was like Mother Nature decided to throw in a free sauna session! But honestly, it was all worth it. The thought of someone out there smiling because of the backpack I packed? Priceless. I can’t wait to do it again at the next event—hopefully, it’ll be a bit cooler! Also, a big shoutout to our Jovia Financial Credit Union team members, who, internally throughout the organization, helped collect over 1,300 individual school supplies and to everyone who came out to help sort & pack those supplies. There’s a reason they say there’s no ‘I’ in ‘team’—it takes all of us together to make a significant impact, and we did a great job together. #CommunityEngagement #VolunteerExperience #NonprofitSupport #HomelessnessAwareness #Teamwork #CorporateSocialResponsibility #JoviaFinancial #LeadershipInAction #MakingADifference #SocialImpact #EmployeeVolunteering #GivingBack #CommunityOutreach
