Remote hiring can save money, but focusing solely on the cheapest option? That’s a trap ⚠️ Here’s the reality: yes, remote hiring—especially for virtual assistants—often comes at a fraction of the cost compared to in-office staff. That’s a huge advantage. But… focusing on cost over skills can be a disaster in disguise 💣. I've been there—lured by the temptation of cutting costs, only to realize that the VA I hired didn’t align with the specific needs of the role. What did I end up with? Delayed projects, confusion, and in some cases, having to redo work entirely. The savings? Lost. The time wasted? Immense ⏳. 🔑 Here’s a key lesson: "cheap" doesn't equal "good fit." The right VA isn’t the one who costs the least; it's the one who matches the skills your business actually requires. That mismatch? It costs far more in the long run than any upfront savings. 👉 If you’re hiring a VA for lead generation, don’t just go for the lowest bidder. Make sure they have a solid background in cold calling, CRM management, or whatever specific tools you use. Hiring for social media? Look for someone with real experience in content creation and engagement, not just a low hourly rate. You get what you pay for—invest wisely. Remember: The goal is not to just “fill a position” but to find someone who can genuinely help your business grow and succeed 🌱. Let’s talk: What have been your experiences with remote hiring? Do you prioritize cost, skills, or a balance of both? #RemoteHiring #VirtualAssistants #BusinessGrowth #VirtualTeams #Entrepreneurship #HiringTips #SkillsOverCost #VAIndustry

Got a surprising insight recently that I just had to share. A client reached out to me, looking to fill some roles at his company. I suggested considering remote staff from overseas, thinking it could be a quick and cost-effective solution. His response? A real eye-opener!! He was looking for professionals with specific industry expertise, not just basic task handlers. This got me thinking.. many people still believe that hiring remote staff is only for simple, entry-level tasks. But that’s far from the truth! You can find highly skilled professionals like experienced bookkeepers, customer service reps, sales experts, digital marketing specialists and even NY State Licensed RNs—all working remotely. The idea that remote staff are only suited for basic roles is outdated. Today, you can access exceptional talent that’s both cost-effective and highly skilled. So, if you’re still stuck in old hiring habits, it might be time to rethink. We specialize in connecting you with top talent from around the world. Don’t miss out on the incredible opportunities that remote staffing can offer. What opportunities could you be overlooking by sticking to traditional hiring practices? Happy Monday! #remotework #remotestaffingagency #jewishbusiness #virtualassistant #ArbitStaffing

Remote vs. Offline Hiring: A Bold Perspective - 4 years ago, I gave remote hiring a chance. Little did I know, it would redefine how I view talent and teamwork. Here’s what I’ve learned over the years: 1. Long-Lasting Relationships Some of the people I hired remotely four years ago are still with me today. Their dedication and consistency have been the backbone of my business. 2. Commitment Beyond Geography Talent isn’t about where someone is based; it’s about their mindset. Professionals from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities bring exceptional focus and work ethic. 3. Mutual Respect Builds Strong Teams The trust and respect we’ve built over time go beyond just work. It’s humbling to see their loyalty and pride in what they do. 4. Remote Hiring is More Than Filling Roles It’s about finding people who align with your vision and values. The connections you build can shape the future of your business. If you’re unsure about remote hiring, take the leap. Some of the most talented and committed people I’ve worked with were found where I least expected. Well, What’s your experience with remote teams? Let’s share and celebrate the power of trust and loyalty in work relationships. #RemoteWork #CommitmentMatters

Are remote roles dying? Maybe not dying, but they are wildly more competitive than they used to be. By A LOT! Don't believe us? Check this out: Here's an excerpt from a Business Insider article "On ZipRecruiter, the typical remote opening now gets three times as many applicants as in-office roles. That's more than twice as frenzied as the rush for remote jobs at the beginning of last year." On LinkedIn, we see the same thing. On-site/hybrid roles get far fewer applicants than fully remote roles. Especially in sales roles. So if you're looking for a sales job, here's what we suggest: - You'll set yourself apart if you're willing to go into the office. Understandably this isn't possible for everyone. If you live near a big city this might be the ticket to a high paying role. - Remote roles are more competitive, so you've got to stand out (build a brag book with PitchFolio - this is exactly why we built it). Supply and demand. - Use your network. Have past colleagues that you got along well with? See what they are up to and if they can help you! - Be proactive. Build a network when you don't need it. Give more than you take. Then when you need a new role, you'll have plenty of people to reach out to - Keep records of your numbers. Interviewing is far easier when you can provide context for everything through the use of numbers. Metrics matter. - Reach out directly. Be a salesperson. Sell yourself!

"There are no remote jobs out there any more...." This is what a candidate said to me last week. And whilst the number of remote jobs has decreased, there are still companies that will hire remote workers, and spoiler alert, they are not all on LinkedIn! You need to find communities like Remote Rebellion and follow people like Michelle Coulson and her amazing wisdom on where to find the roles. I have said to so many people, 70% of jobs are not posted on any job board, sometimes it is the case of who you know, not what you know. So if you are searching for a remote position, follow Remote Rebellion and Michelle Coulson, join their community, ask questions and be curious - because it sure is heck is not on LinkedIn! #recruitment #Rec2Rec #RemoteJobs ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey 👋 I'm Lauren and I ❤️ Recruitment ( & Pizza 🍕 ). Helping You Land Your Next Remote Role Faster 💻 Remote Job Academy Creator | Remote Work Coach & Strategist | Former Recruiter | Launching the BIGGEST & BEST REMOTE JOB FAIR May 2025 🎪
Recruiters have a bad reputation. Some say they’re the worst, second only to estate agents. 🤠 So, after 7 years in recruitment I switched to helping individuals land their ideal remote job, instead of helping companies to hire. 💻 For 3 years I’ve focused on what people want from their lives, not just their job/career. I love seeing people’s lives transformed with a flexible job that fits around the life THEY choose, not once forced upon them. 🙌 As much as I adore working with individuals, I realised how much I've missed recruiting too. I missed getting a job and using all kinds of ways to find the best person for that role. The ‘hunt’ if you will. 🦾 Then I figured, I don’t need to choose people, over companies - I can help both. I have a huge network of remote job seekers - GREAT ones. Why not connect these amazing humans to companies who are hiring remotely?! So Remote Rebellion is now working with a select few companies to help them hire… fully remote of course! And you can guarantee every single person will get a response... because we’ll make sure of it! Who do you think we should work with? Tag your favourite fully remote company in the comments! 👇 ––––––––––––– 🙋♀️ Hi- I’m Michelle, Founder of Remote Rebellion ✳️ I help people to get a remote job that aligns with their values! ✳️ Get your remote job search questions answered at my “Ask Me Anything” session: https://cutt.ly/8etsRhkm Like this post?
