Last week’s IE Marketing Day was an absolute blast! After months of planning, the event was an absolute success! The lineup included two workshops, two panels, a career fair (with over 22 companies!) and concluded with a networking gala. With over 300 attendees, the IEU Marketing Club and I couldn’t have been happier with the turnout! Wondering what to do next now that the career fair is over? Here are 5 tips for success! 1. Go to your LinkedIn account and connect with each of the recruiters that you met. a. LinkedIn will give you the option to Follow or Connect. If you choose to follow, you will only see the recruiter’s feed. If you connect with the recruiter, then you can send them a Thank You message. 2. Follow the Employer that you are interested in working for. a. On LinkedIn, go to the employer’s page and choose to follow to get updates in your feed from the employer. b. On Handshake, go to the employer’s page and click on the star. This will allow you to receive notifications when the employer is hosting an event, attending a career fair, or has posted a job in Handshake. 3. Get onto Big Interview by logging in with your LinkBlue ID and complete a couple self-guided practice interviews. 4. Schedule an appointment in Handshake to process how the career fair went and what are your next steps. 5.
