Finding a job after incarceration is tough. In fact, it takes most formerly incarcerated people over six months to land their first job after release. But stable employment is crucial for successful reentry, and that's exactly why we're here – to help our men succeed in life after incarceration. You can make a real difference. Support us by shopping at the ReUse Warehouse, hiring our hardworking crews, or choosing our deconstruction services instead of demolition for your next remodel. Together, we can build brighter futures.

🌟 **Strengthening Bonds in Lone Working Teams of Care Professionals ** 🌟 In the world of home care, many of our dedicated care professionals work independently, often feeling isolated in their roles. But when we bring these lone-working teams together—whether through open days, lunch get-togethers, or team-building events—the impact is profound! I experienced this impact today at Home Instead SUR Group South Ayrshire and Kilmarnock office and the feedback was incredible! Whilst chatting with a Care Profesional she stated “in 30 years of jobs in caring I have never truly loved a job like I love this one, I feel like I have come home” when I asked what had influenced this feeling she responded with “because I genuinely feel my work is valued. Before I came to Home Instead, no one had ever thanked me. Here not only am I thanked but I am supported by the team around me” Now this is a perfect example of how to remain personal at scale. What else can we do to continue these connections? It’s about providing…. ✨ **Shared Experiences**: These gatherings provide a platform for care professionals to share stories, challenges, and successes, fostering a sense of community and mutual support. ✨ **Collaboration & Learning**: Coming together encourages collaboration, allowing care professionals to exchange best practices and learn from one another, enhancing the quality of care we provide. ✨ **Well-being Boost**: Social interactions reduce feelings of isolation, boosting mental well-being and job satisfaction. A happy care profesional is a quality care professional! ✨ **Stronger Team Dynamics**: Regular meet-ups help build trust and camaraderie, transforming individual care profession into a cohesive, supportive team. Let's continue to create these opportunities for connection and growth. After all, when we care for our care professional, everyone benefits. 💪💙 #TeamBuilding #CarersCommunity #EmployeeWellbeing #TogetherWeThrive

#DisabilityRights #WorkplaceDiscrimination #EmployeeSupport #MentalHealthMatters I've been wanting to share my experience for months now, so here it goes! 😊 I’ve kept some details private since it’s under investigation by state and federal authorities. Here's the situation: I moved across the country for a job, and I’ve been dealing with discrimination because of my disability when I asked for some simple accommodation. 🤔 **Background:** I have a herniated disk in my L5-S1 region, which can sometimes make walking tricky—it's random and mostly flares up unexpectedly. **Career Moves:** I've worked as a trucker for 4 years and spent 10 years as a car mechanic. Every employer I’ve had was fine with my accommodation: just needing extra breaks during flare-ups. **Job Change:** I found a mid-sized company hiring from out of state, so I moved my family and I to their new shop, excited for a fresh start. **Disclosure:** After meeting the General Manager and informing... Creating communities that embrace and support the homeless is a cause close to my heart. It's about more than just providing shelter; it's about fostering a sense of belonging and dignity for all. Firstly, I believe in the power of 'Housing First' models. These prioritize giving the homeless a stable place to live, without preconditions. From there, we can offer tailored support services. It's a compassionate approach that has seen success in various UK cities. Secondly, community integration is key. We should encourage local businesses and residents to get involved with initiatives that support the homeless. This could be through mentorship programs, employment opportunities, or simply by creating spaces where everyone is welcome to spend time together. Lastly, we must address the stigma surrounding homelessness. Education and awareness campaigns can go a long way in changing perceptions and fostering empathy. When we understand the myriad of reasons behind homelessness, we can create more effective support systems. Your thoughts and experiences are invaluable. How can we, as a community, further these ideas? #Homelessness #CommunitySupport #Inclusion #vetro #vetrorecruitment

Do you have a need for reasonable speed? Do you enjoy driving? Do you enjoy helping people who can't/don't drive get to places they need to be? Community Care wants to talk to you! Community Care Peterborough and the sibling groups in Lakefield, Chemung, Havelock and Millbrook need drivers who can take their clients to appointments and outings. Imagine being a senior or person with disabilities in Havelock and having an appointment at PRHC or Campbellford, but no vehicle access and no friends or family who can take the day off to get you there. This is where the Community Care groups step in. The whole point of Community Care is to help people stay in their homes, and transportation is definitely part of that. There are some clear requirements for this position regardless of which group you sign with, including Vulnerable Sector Screening, references, and a separate application form. We'll get you to the page so that you can choose the closest location to where you live, and go from there. For people who can't take transit (show us the bus that comes in from Millbrook; we'll wait) or are no longer able to drive themselves, this is a very, very important aspect of them maintaining independence. Be the smiling face that helps that happen. Find the postings here: https://buff.ly/3rsamzk #DriversNeeded #VolunteersRock #GreyPower #CommunityBuilding #Independence
