This video picks up from a previous post where I included data examining the political divide of right wing alignment among men while women either consistently remain to the left or have moved towards the left as the result of policies affecting reproduction and reproductive health care, motherhood, divorce, and a host of other social issues. This video looks at the MeToo Movement and some of the backlash that it generated based on false accusations or allegations that have been made against men who were not actual perpetrators of rape or sexual assault. This video also looks at the origins of the movement and how it became co-opted by political progressives to use against their opponents who were running for office. While the intention and incentive behind the movement initially was to shift the balance of power in order to create an environment of workplace physical and psychological safety, there has also been a misuse, abuse or misinterpretation that has created an even greater imbalance where chivalry and protection of women has now come under fire. This video examines some of the harsh realities and nuances when the topic of rape or sexual assault is brought up in conversation and brings to light some of the ambiguities from a feminist ideological perspective.

Women of all races, socioeconomic status and ages halve been experiencing this still in 2024. We are conditioned by American culture that we must multitask and be therefore for our bosses, partners, children, coworkers, aging parents and friends. We pour from an empty tea cup into everything and everybody put ourselves. I used to see the word “selfish” as a dirty word and maybe it is. But the best way we women can reprogram and recondition to prioritize ourselves is to join together and form a tribe. I see it on social media. Groups of women joining together to bring a cheating boyfriend to accountability. But on a larger scale, women of privilege MUST support those women who don’t have the power due to race or finances. We must work to change women’s health and wellness, get equal pay, affordable and quality healthcare, lessen domestic violence and sexual assault. And last but not least to restore reproductive rights for all women in the United States 🇺🇸. “America sets the tone for the rest of the world”-Jerry McGuire 1996 https://lnkd.in/eAsxRS-j
