Kudos to Einride , who are approaching this problem from the correct point of view, and with a systematic and pragmatic approach. “To minimize downtime, charging needs to be integrated with mandatory driver breaks and loading and unloading periods. Trucks can be charged on-site while they get loaded or unloaded but to align charging with driver breaks, the charging stations need to be located at places that can realistically be reached within one driver's shift.” #MCS chargers can recharge a truck to 80% within a driver’s mandatory break. #StopBurningStuff

The survey by the Association of Fleet Professionals (AFP) shows that 58% would consider sharing their van charging infrastructure at public facilities with other fleets to accelerate electrification. The real headline for us is that 62% of respondents would consider co-operative agreements with other fleets, allowing mutual access to depot based infrastructure.
