There is every reason to believe that Alzheimer's disease has its roots in specific types of brain cells. That's why together with collaborators at UW Medicine and Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute and with support from the National Institute on Aging (NIA), we are taking a new approach and going cell by cell to understand the disease. Along the way we have been making all of our data open to everyone so that science can #EndALz faster. #OpenScienceWeek #WorldAlzheimersDay

I learned a lot by participating in an educational activity on Medscape that proves how crucial is the impact of different physical activities on the health of young and old people specially. The results of several studies and trials underscore the impact of physical activity on several factors associated with Alzheimer Disease development, including inflammation, cerebrovascular function, neurotoxicity, and neuroplasticity, which may help delay or even prevent the development of dementia and AD. #learninganddevelopment
