Here's a huge shout out and personal thanks to Whole Foods Founder and Social Capital leader John Mackey for taking time out of his packed schedule to show me around his new amazing venture Love.Life a few weeks ago. The thoughtfulness, authenticity and downright humility he extended was downright impressive and appreciated especially considering he had a board meeting later that day. It was a wonderful in-depth look at what I believe to be an extraordinarily heartfelt AND smart venture that will transform the wellness industry in this county and the world, and one I believe will be explosively successful for all the right reasons. But maybe even more importantly it allowed me to see John's truly authentic and compassionate leadership up close and personal. Those impressive traits were on honest and full display in his open and supportive interactions with employees, customers and me. Additionally, the sage insights he shared on how and when to grow are definitely personally valuable as we plot and design our own growth at the Center for Social Capital. John, we need lots more like you in the world. Thank you.
