In addition to these trends, I’m hedging bets we’ll see a focus on the following: 💪 Maintaining a healthy weight With the rise in pharmaceutical products to enable rapid weight loss, I believe we’ll see supplements and functional foods designed to support and sustain this lifestyle. 🧠 Cognitive health Gen X’ers are watching their parents struggle with health issues and cognitive decline at alarming rates. As a result, I expect to see products focused on improving memory and overall brain health that people can begin consuming now as part of preventative care. 🌿 Streamlining of plant-based products The ingredients in plant-based products were originally intended to be a “better for you” alternative to meat. As preservative and additive lists have gotten longer, I’ll be looking for simplified products with a true focus on plants. 🥒 Dill pickle everything Okay, this is a wildcard, but I think this might be the flavor profile we see popping up in unexpected places. Last year was all about mushrooms…will this be the year of the pickle? What other predications are you making for the show this year? #cpgtrends #expowesttrends

We must consider the ethical and environmental impact of our choices. Animals, sentient beings capable of pain and joy, should not suffer for our food or entertainment. Animal agriculture contributes significantly to deforestation, greenhouse gas emissions, and water pollution. Transitioning to plant-based diets can benefit both our health and the environment. When it comes to entertainment, there are humane alternatives available that do not exploit animals, like virtual reality and creative storytelling. Opting for compassion over cruelty paves the way for a more ethical, sustainable, and healthier world for all.

Make October 4th the most animal-friendly day of the year! 🐷🐮🐔 Imagine this: a line of cows, pigs, and chickens stretching all the way from Amsterdam to Brussels. That's how astonishingly many animals we consume in the Netherlands every day—600,000. 📉 By eating less meat, we reduce the need for animal farming and contribute to a healthier planet and lifestyle. 🌍🌿 Did you know that the production of meat in The Netherlands results in about 33 million kilos of CO2 emissions per day? That’s equivalent to driving 191 million kilometers! Plus, cutting back on processed and red meat can lower the risk of diseases like diabetes. It's a win for the animals, the planet, and your health. 🏆 #Eetgeendierendag #Meatfreeday #Sustainability #Animalwelfare #Healthierchoices #Dierendag
