Feeling energised after Day 2 of the Microsoft Education Summit. As you'll hear from Emilie below, there is plenty of reason for optimism in the sector, even with the significant pressures. One of my highlights was the Leadership Panel about leadership and culture change in an age of significant digital transformation. My three takeaways: - Harmony is the enemy of progress. You need tension for change. "Be brave enough to say it, even if people won't like it" - Kylie Readman. - Diversity of voices unlocks innovation. Academics and students should be at the table with IT so transformation remains "student-serving, not self-serving" - Eoghan Hogan. - Leadership and cultural change ultimately revolves around trust. A career in technology, doesn't have to be technical... 🙌 Still today... so many women especially, assume that because they can't or don't want to 'write code', that technology isn't a career they should pursue.
