LION Uniforms featuring Elbeco’s Post

Ever heard of the “gray-clad riders?” That’s how newspapers and the public referred to the New York State Police (NYSP) when the force was first established in 1917. For over 100 years, the men and women of the NYSP have proudly worn gray, symbolizing their neutrality and the impartiality of justice. The purple tie and band around their Stetson hats pays homage to the Praetorian Guard—the elite bodyguard of the Roman emperors. The black stripe on the side of their pants honors their fallen members. LION is proud to equip the New York State Police with their daily duty uniform, ensuring they can carry out their duties in comfort (and style). Photo Credit: New York State Police
