ACE supported the installation and commissioning of Emergency Shutdown Devices (ESDs) across 50 regional Western Australian chlorination/chloramination sites for a major water/wastewater utility company, working as a subcontractor to the client’s technicians and engineers. ACE Engineers leveraged their decades of combined water utility control experience to program, document, and test a wide variety of both legacy and modern control system hardware in accordance with the client’s design/supplementary design guidelines and documentation. ACE’s systematic and procedural approach in tackling each site learned from the extensive experience in the sector, allowed for precise and surgical changes specific to each site’s requirements, thus eliminating operational risks that may arise from unintended functional changes. This ensured a smooth deployment of the new safety-critical devices with minimal to no impact to operations.
