Chilwa Minerals has received the initial rare earth element assay results from the ongoing sonic drill program at the Mposa deposit, part of the Chilwa Project in southeast Malawi. The sonic drill program is predominantly planned for the assessment of the heavy #mineralsands potential of the project. During early tests to determine the depth to basement, up to 40m of clays were identified below the mineral sands horizon. Subsequent follow up analysis is currently underway to assess the presence of the #REEs that were not analysed for, as well as to understand the mineralogy and distribution of the REEs in the Mposa HMS deposit. Western Metallica Resources Corp.: TSXV-WMS CEO Greg Duras joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share news about the company's recent acquisition of the Turmalina and Caña Brava Projects in Northern Peru. Duras explained to Proactive that the exploration activities at Caña Brava have included geological mapping supported by Short Wave Infra-Red (SWIR) spectrometry analysis. The objectives of these activities are comprehensive: they aim to determine the extent of alteration related to porphyry systems, understand the potential zonation both laterally and vertically, identify controlling structures and favorable host lithologies, and conduct systematic rock sampling to define geochemical anomalies and vectors that lead to mineralized centers. Sarytogan Graphite Limited (ASX:SGA) managing director Sean Gregory sits down with Proactive’s Jonathan Jackson to discuss a new Exploration Licence Application (ELA) for #copper porphyry mineralisation named Baynazar, just 20 kilometres west of the flagship Sarytogan #Graphite Deposit in Central Kazakhstan. The 282-square-kilometre Baynazar ELA is within the Central Asian Orogenic Belt (CAOB), known for hosting large copper-gold porphyry deposits. Historical Soviet work in the Baynazar area identified anomalies in copper, #gold, #silver, #molybdenum, and #tungsten. Sarytogan's exploration team is actively soil sampling and a high-resolution aeromagnetic survey will soon start. Gregory stated that this initiative is part of a broader strategy to develop a portfolio of copper projects to support the company's focus on battery metals. Trinex Minerals Limited has identified numerous spodumene-bearing pegmatite outcrops and boulders in the northern half of the Halo-Yuri Project in Canada, presenting high-priority walk-up drill targets. The terrain in the northern area is flat-lying tundra dominated by glacial till, boulder fields, marshes, and lakes. #Spodumene-bearing pegmatite encountered was typically as boulders, with 278 mineralised boulders observed, and 24 mineralised outcrops mapped. The mineralised pegmatite system that comprises Latin Resources Limited's Colina Deposit is primarily composed of spodumene, feldspar, and quartz, and is located within a structural corridor that extends over an extensive strike length ~2.7km from northeast to southwest. The latest Colina MRE update has increased the total resource base by 11% from 63.5Mt to 70.9Mt and increased contained #Lithium Carbonate Equivalent from 2.05Mt to 2.20Mt. #LRS's MRE reflected the high levels of confidence in both the geological continuity and grade of the Colina pegmatites.
