Not all lux meters are capable of measuring white LED light accurately. I first learned this on an ILP lighting course in 2014. The Extech LT40 has the capability to measure both LED and standard light fittings. If your doing an energy audit that needs a lux level survey, you need to look at the spec of your light meter to see what it is capable of measuring.
