Really pleased to publish another piece of research today. Community Ownership: A Way Forward for Wales highlights the many challenges faced by communities in Wales wanting to take on management or ownership of assets. The research, conducted by Plunkett UK (thanks to Chris Cowcher's team, and particularly Georgina Edwards), examines the strengths and weaknesses in the English and Scottish legislative approaches. It identifies key aspects that actually result in increased community ownership. We include a set of eight recommendations- some short-term and low-cost and others more long-term and intensive. You can read the research in full here: https://lnkd.in/e-Y-d3Wg
It was great to work with you and BCT Wales on this report, Eleri, and we hope it will be a catalyst for fruitful conversations and action around community ownership in Wales, so the sector can grow further there.
Great research!
