The most disheartening thing as a recruiter is when you miss out on good candidates because the management is taking too long to deliberate on them. This results in restarting the tedious search or settling for a mediocre candidate, neither of which is beneficial for the organization. If you're a hiring manager, advocate for that excellent candidate and onboard them as soon as possible. #TalentAcquisition #Recruitment

I can’t remember how many times.... I’ve been asked by others what one thing makes a great recruiter? I always answered with the same thing, in my experience memory (see what I did there) is the one thing that has always stood out for me. Clearly there are lots of things needed to be great recruiter, but I’ve noticed over the years all the best recruiters have a good memory or at the bare minimum an efficient system for remembering things. What attributes do you think make an exceptional recruiter? #memory #recruitment #staffing

When the best candidate walks away...who's to blame? In a market as competitive as ours, top talent is often spoilt for choice. An unnecessarily convoluted hiring process can discourage otherwise interested candidates from proceeding with their application. How can we combat this? Let's simplify. Whether that is streamlining the number of interviews, reducing redundancies in paperwork, or providing clear communication throughout each stage, remember this: Time is of the essence and clarity is king. An efficient hiring process not only reflects well on the company but also respects the time and effort put in by the candidate. It's high time we viewed recruitment from the lens of customer service. Conclusion? A smoother hiring process equals happier candidates and potentially better hires. Don't let your company's bureaucratic procedures stand in the way of securing top-tier talent. #recruitment #talent #process

At ANY point during a recruitment process it’s ok to change your mind. It really is. It’s your life/business. If you do change your mind though, be honest with the people hiring/interviewing/your recruiter/yourself don’t just go hiding. PS - This works for both clients and candidates. #recruitment #ghosting #career

I quite often get asked how hiring managers can ensure they are selecting the right candidate for their vacancy. Of course, as part of my role at re:find I always help with that process and only put forward suitable candidates - but, what then? How does the hiring manager choose? Here are some reminders of the things we can do to help us with those important decisions. #Recruitment #ExecutiveSearch #CandidateSelection

What do you like most about Recruitment, and what annoys you the most? I think my answers would likely be pretty common.. 🤷♂️ No one likes to be stuffed around and on the flip side, DANG does it feel good when you make that perfect match & both candidate & client walk away feeling stoked. Plus, the commish is obviously a plus... 😆 Hit me up in the comments! #recruitment #recruiters #recruiterlife

Recruiters and hiring managers are the gatekeepers at any organisation 🗝️🔐 So, ensuring you’re on your A-game is vital. Remember – top talent demands engaged and effective interviewers, and they won’t settle for ‘good enough.’ If you want to land the best candidates, you need to create a hiring process which reflects this 🪞 #quotes #recruitment #hr

Business Owner & Managing Director | People Capability Strategy Development | We place people at the heart of every organisation through innovative capability tools and solutions
Confession: I use my “gut feeling” as the final decision when I hire. Over the years I have met with so many people and conducted countless interviews as we have hired staff for our 3 businesses. We have used a robust capability focused recruitment strategy and while I always consider qualifications, experience, and references, I've found that it's often my gut feeling that makes the final call and it never fails. Trusting your intuition or “gut feeling” doesn't mean ignoring hard facts, but it means valuing the human element in business decisions. It's about recognising potential beyond what's on paper and understanding how someone might fit into your company culture. #BeyondTheResume #SmartHiring #TrustYourIntuition #PotentialOverPaper
