We’re thrilled to be supporting Aerosearch Limited, a 100% Aotearoa New Zealand owned company who are developing new possibilities for remotely piloted aircraft systems. When it came to choosing where to launch and test their aircraft, they chose Tāwhaki National Aerospace Centre. “We scoured the country for the best place to develop our prototypes and Kaitorete was far and away the best. We’re excited to continue development of our machines and operating systems with the new facilities. Being able to use the new runway will enable us to continue with our development as we look to trialling new and larger AV’s.” – Aerosearch Co-Founder, Robert de Roo. Aerosearch are on a mission to develop remotely piloted aircraft systems capable of long range, high speed flights to support the monitoring of land, marine and climate environments. We’re excited to be journeying with this homegrown company who are pioneering new ways to see and understand earth’s environments, while minimising risks. Working together to create opportunities that will make a fundamental difference for people and the planet – that’s what we do. 🌏 Learn more at https://tawhaki.co.nz/ #RemotePiloting #AircraftInnovation #TāwhakiPartnerships #Marine #EnvironmentalScience -- Aerospace New Zealand ChristchurchNZ Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand

The most challenging landing in the world: #Paro, #Bhutan ✨ Imagine landing in a valley surrounded by Himalayan mountains, with peaks that exceed 5,000 meters and a runway that seems almost impossible to reach. That is what pilots who land at Paro airport, one of the most demanding and spectacular in the world, face. 🌄 What makes it so special: Mountainous Terrain: Planes must make tight turns while descending quickly between mountains to align with the runway. Short track: With only 2,000 meters, the margin for error is minimal. Visual approach: Here, pilots cannot rely on automatic instruments. They must rely on their ability to maneuver manually. Unpredictable Weather: Crosswinds and sudden changes in visibility make each landing unique. Only a few pilots in the world are certified to land here, after hours of specialized training. For them, it's a mix of technical skill and raw emotion. These types of situations remind me how important preparation and the ability to adapt to the unexpected is. In both life and work, sometimes we have to navigate difficult terrain with precision and focus. 🌍✈️ If you ever have the opportunity to fly to Bhutan, get ready for an unforgettable experience. And a lot of respect to the pilots who make this trip possible! #Aviation #Bhutan #Unemployment #Inspiration #Challenges #Teamwork #Adaptation #aviation #avgeek #aviationphotography #aviationlovers #boeing #aircraft #airplane #aviationdaily #planespotting #a #pilot #airbus #plane #aviationgeek #instagramaviation #instaaviation #airport #b #f #pilotlife #flying #instaplane #lovers #flight #planespotter #u #travel #fly #planes #aviationphoto

The Cessna 208B is parked facing to our home volcanoes like a symbol of that special role which aviation plays in Kamchatka. It's rare to find a person here who hasn't travelled on board of an airplane. Kamchatka is reachable only by air and all our vacations and business trips start from that airport. Moreover some remote areas of Kamchatka are accessible from its capital city only by air. Therefore it can be safely stated that at least 99% of all people here in Kamchatka have at least once travelled by air. Moving westeard onto the mainland this share is lower. I know of some people who have never been on board of an aircraft. Simply because they have no need. They have no need to travel long distances and prefer trains or cars. But what's about the whole world's population? You might be surprised but according to pre-pandemic research only about 20% of the world's population have ever flown. Just think about that! The highest proportions are found in remote regions like Kamchatka, Alaska, Chukotka or Greenland. The highest rates are also in the USA while the lowest are in African countries #cessna #airport #airportoperations #aviation #aviationindustry #airplane #airlines #airlineindustry

In Venice with a journey to make? At least some of it will be on a boat. Construction work requires a crane, that’s on a boat. Need to call 911? The carabinieri are coming on you guessed it. The population of the floating city relies on watercraft for virtually everything. It is where water replaces the road. There are even ice cream boats. Venice is pretty unique in its geography, but the metropolis is living proof humans have lived and thrived on the water for as long as anyone can remember. In fact, it is estimated well over two billion people live in what is called the near-coastal zone. Which is defined as all land within 100km of the coast at an elevation of up to 100 metres. The potential to serve those people is a shared factor in the vision of every startup vying for a share of an eagerly anticipated electric seaplane market. More than 10 amphibious aircraft OEMs were in Venice this week, alongside operators, financiers and stakeholders from across aviation to discuss the nascent sector. Brought together by the inaugural Future Opportunities for Seaplanes & Amphibious Aviation conference put together by QUAYNOTE COMMUNICATIONS LIMITED and Arena Group Associates. Thanks to George Alafinov, Eric Lithun, Sylvain GLOUX MSc FRAeS, Wouter du Preez, CFA, Massimiliano "Max" Pinucci, Aldo Giovannitti and Dennis Keller for contributions. Aviation, Travel, Coffee - Planely addicted, Ideas, Stories, Family ✈️ Believe that age is just a number! Love ❤️ to keep learning, everyday!!
Building an Airline! Building an airline ❤️ is like using thousands of LEGO bricks! Complex, intricate, patient work that needs many hours, plenty of people with different skills working together & lots of money! Some airlines ✈️ get it right - take #emirates for example or #indigo in #india They become well oiled machines that keep growing, but also keep consistently performing (mostly) at peak levels! But there are some airlines where the LEGO build goes wrong - and rather than planes they end up building dinosaurs 🦖with wings! What do you think is the most important thing to keep in mind when building a new airline? PS: LEGO has such a passionate following - children & adults alike! #travel #aviation

#BuildIndiaNagpur's newly inaugurated double-decker flyover, led by Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari, sets a new benchmark in road infrastructure. As Asia's longest, this project showcases India's capability in modern, large-scale engineering and urban planning. It not only addresses traffic congestion but also stands as an inspiration for future infrastructure projects across the country. By pushing the boundaries of innovation, this flyover will motivate planners and engineers nationwide to pursue more ambitious and transformative developments. #Buildindia Vaibhav Dange

Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, also known as #Ayodhya Airport (IATA: AYJ, ICAO: VEAY), took flight in December 2023, setting a record with its swift construction completed in just 21 months. This milestone promises to enhance religious connectivity across India, paving the way for a surge in religious tourism. Anticipating this trend, I foresee the development of numerous such #airports, bolstering India's tourism sector and expanding the air connectivity network to Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. As more such projects unfold, I anticipate a corresponding rise in demand for #Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (#AME) jobs in smaller cities, extending beyond metros to flourishing smaller towns. While it may take some time for these numbers to become noticeable, it's gratifying to envision young budding #AME professionals from small towns securing jobs in their native places which was unimaginable when I entered the #aviation industry 20 years ago. Big shout out to the Ministry of Civil Aviation (#moca), Airport Authority of India (#AAI), and #DGCA and all agencies involved for their pivotal roles in driving this change. #AircraftMaintenanceEngineers #AircraftMaintenanceEngineering
