It’s been seven years since Marius joined the team, and in that time, he’s progressed from Motion Designer to Director of Product Design, leaving an indelible mark on each of our apps. We’re thrilled to introduce him, and we can’t wait to see what he does next.
Igor Kaliuzhnyi, our Chief Creative Officer / Art director, talks about how to grab users' attention with a diverse and multilayered story, to make the game feel fresh after the main sequence runs dry, and how to retain sanity while doing all of the above.
Live ops game cycles, aligning various artist teams to fix things in a relatively short timespan - the closest we've got to "how to make everyone happy" in this interview:
Transmedia in Games & Animation: Secret Level (Blur & Amazon Prime Video) made a anthology game series. This is brilliant. Love Death & Robots but for Games. Check the trailer below.

This is real animation with No 'Gen' AI bullshit from Blur Studios. Built by humans, actual art & animation. Human art & animation draw money. 'gen' AI doesn't. Gen AI 'art' output is useful for spammers, scammers, and the enshittification of social media, and not much else.
For all the talk, blather and hype, 'gen' Ai isn't being used in commercial consumer entertainment products. When people want to draw consumer money, they still rely on humans to make animation that is not images stacked together like a sandwich. Because when consumers pay money, they don't buy a shit sandwich made from AI output. Humans want to see animation by humans. And Amazon knows that. There are no gen AI projects going to streaming services.

Prime Video has unveiled Secret Level, a new “adult-animated anthology series” featuring original stories set within the worlds of video game series.
Games that inspired the 15 episodes include Armored Core, Concord, Crossfire, Dungeons & Dragons, Exodus, Honor of Kings, Mega Man, New World: Aeternum, PAC-MAN, various PlayStation Studios games, Sifu, Spelunky, The Outer Worlds, Unreal Tournament and Warhammer 40,000.

Blur Studio has also created CGI sequences for many games since its formation in 1995, including Grand Theft Auto III, Quake III, and Call of Duty.
“Every time a trailer comes online, we see hundreds of comments from fans like, ‘why can’t we have a movie or series like this?’ And we couldn’t agree more, which is why we are so excited to share this series,” Miller said.

Yesterday I posted this video as a result of testing the new models Udio 1.5, Midjourney 6.1 and Runway 3 with start image. But the really cool part is that I only wrote five very short prompts to create this (including the post), the rest was generated:
1. lets write a song about a very large misunderstood cute blue cuddly monster trying to find new friends.
2. describe the music style in one short paragraph
3. let render e few midjourney photorealistic prompts for this song. use the attribute --ar 16:9
4. ten new prompts based on the style in this prompt [pasted the prompt i liked from the previous step including --cref and --sref attributes pointing to the generated image] each prompt should be followed by a runway prompt suitable for the animation of the midjourney image. Here is the runway promoting guide: [pasted the complete guide]
5. lets write a short post: Many new models released in the last few days. Udio 1.5, Midjourney 6.1 and Runway 3 with start frames. Well, lets see what they can do together. Here is Big Blue Buddy.

Our gentle giant, Big Blue Buddy, came to life through the magic of AI collaboration:
- Song lyrics and prompt generation: Claude Sonnet 3.5
- Visuals: Midjourney 6.1
- Animation: Runway Gen-3
- Music: Udio 1.5

Wanted to give my thoughts on #Xmen97.
With a show that brought back the feeling of Nostalgia and amazing storytelling, it's definitely the kind of content that #Disney has to get back on track.
It's no secret that the brand of #Marvel has been taking a huge hit for the past few years, but this was a huge step in the right direction, especially for #animation.
With topics that focuses on discrimination, prejudice & being ridiculed constantly by others and be treated as misfits, outcasts, the thought that we shouldn't belong, it goes to show that great writing, (Beau DeMayo) with heart and passion can go a long way.
In addition from the stunning visuals, phenomenal voice acting, and expanding the range of character development and conflict of those characters. Whether it's within themselves ie. Cyclops & Jean Grey, Professor X & Magneto, or conflict with the world, in this case, people.
What exceeded my expectations more from a show like this is the simple fact that the stakes are always high, and anyone can bite the bullet at any time. We become too comfortable with heroes & characters that we'd love for over a decade, and the fact that they could be gone at anytime.
That sudden realization, makes us feel and connect to them that much more.
The simple fact, is that each and every one of us can relate to these heroes in some type of way, and although society can make us feel that we don't belong, it should never stop us from doing what is right.
To know that no matter how tough things can be, and whether everything seems hopeless, we always have each other to push us through to the end, we become great friends, a great family.
Sacrifices are made, lives can be lost, we can be hated for what we are, what we do, how we think, etc., but we must always keep the faith, and know that everything will be okay.
Like a team, like a family, we stand together as one.

Real On-Set Magic in BOXO Movies 🎥
What makes BOXO films leap off the screen?
Often, it's the tactile, imaginative practical effects created on set.
Our crews bring an incredible degree of artistry and skill to executing hands-on movie magic.
From animatronic sharks to intricate horror prosthetics, practical effects add authenticity that CGI just can't replicate.
And they enable more natural performer reactions, pulling audiences deeper into fantasy worlds.
We're consistently awed by the practical effect talents who storyboard, build and refine these elements by hand.
Their creativity adds an invaluable tangible essence to BOXO projects over the years.
Share your favorite memories of practical effects magic in BOXO movies like Savage Salvation, 57 Seconds or Black Demon!
