This large drum-like structure behind the cylinder head is the exhaust gas manifold. It plays a crucial role in the main engine of a ship, collecting exhaust gases from each individual cylinder and channeling them into a single outlet. This consolidation ensures a smoother and more efficient flow of gases, contributing to the engine's overall performance and longevity. The exhaust gas manifold helps maintain a balanced flow of exhaust gases from all cylinders, ensuring they reach the outlet simultaneously. This balance is important for maintaining the performance and longevity of the engine. Additionally, the manifold is designed to manage the extreme heat generated during the combustion process, protecting nearby components and reducing the risk of damage. Another important function of the exhaust gas manifold is noise reduction. By directing and channeling the exhaust gases efficiently, the manifold helps dampen the noise produced during the combustion process, contributing to a quieter and more comfortable onboard environment.

This use to be fertile farm land. 1 Internal and external thermal battery tabs that break the circuit before thermal runaway. 2 Isolated cells with proper cooling. 3 Every large battery built should have its own integrated fire suppression. 4 Proven, fire fighting protocol designed into each large battery pack. Multiple cooling entry locations. 5 Standardized safety features. 6 The corporation that caused this mess should be responsible. Sloppy operations, manufacturing and/or designs.

In reference to my last post personal though, space is in a vacuum, propulsion is pushing, in more advanced fusion engines, what we would consider the creation of fusion within what we would consider the gas turbine currently, the turbines are essentially giant superconducting magnets with fields that can be manipulated , there is “no combustion” but as the ship is pulled/ pushed along the cold area of space is pulled through the cowwel and helium is passed through as helium 2 is a non viscous fluid which is pushed thru microscopic capillaries in order to cool the surrounding surfaced creating a cooling medium and transferring heat over the entire surface of the ship, hence a giant radiator hope I described that correctly!
