Showcasing ordinary ingredients in extraordinary formulations. Brand/ideation consultant for natural and sustainable skincare

Adding flower petals to any product imparts a touch of luxury to the product. Adding petals to the good-old lye soap does not work because the alkaline pH of the soap kills the petals within a few seconds (unless you coat the petals in wax in advance, a very time consuming procedure!) However with the highly popular surfactant based shampoo and shower bars, you can easily incorporate petals, seeds or herbs in the bars. (focus on the beauty of the bars and don't ask how on earth shall we clean the shower or the wash basin after application!!!!) #soapbars #showerbars #waterlesscleanser

Ha! Agreed, they're pretty until you see the drain filled with petal goop. Dried rose petals are scratchy and lavender buds remind me of tiny bugs so I prefer herb powders.
