The Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC) adopted today the recommendations of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV) as reference for wine additives (without acceptable daily intake) after several years of negotiations. CAC adopted the following 10 additional additives for the categories "grape wine" and "fortified grape wine" at Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) with the note mentioning that some Codex Members may specify that their use must be consistent with the Code of Oenological Practices of Oiv. The 10 wine additives are the following ones: -Malic acid, DL- -Ascorbic Acid, L- -Erythorbic acid -Citric acid -Tartrates -Fumaric acid -Gum Arabic -Lactic acid, L-, D-, and DL-Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose -Calcium sulfate (fortified grape wine). #codexalimentarius#oiv#fivs#unioneitalianavini#anformape#oenoppia#wine
