Women have played a crucial role in society since the beginning of time. They have been the backbone of families, communities, and nations. It is important to acknowledge and appreciate the sacrifices and contributions that women have made throughout history. One of the most significant roles that women play is that of motherhood. The pain and struggles that women endure during childbirth are unimaginable. Many women have lost their lives in the process of bringing new life into the world. Despite the risks and challenges, women continue to bear children and raise families with love and dedication. It is essential for men to respect and honor women for their strength, resilience, and compassion. Without the support and partnership of women, society would not be able to thrive. Women deserve to be treated with dignity and equality in all aspects of life. In conclusion, women deserve to be celebrated and appreciated for their invaluable contributions to society. It is important for everyone, regardless of gender, to recognize the sacrifices and hardships that women have endured throughout history. Let us continue to support and uplift women in all areas of life, and may God bless women for all that they do.

16 Days of Activism.......... 16 Days to open our minds to how we do better when it comes to keeping women safe. 16 Days to reflect on why is it that women and children are less safe in their own homes than they are in the community. 16 Days to remember that we are in the midst of a national crisis, women are being murdered in incidents of gender-based violence at higher rates than ever before. 16 Days to think about how you are going to do better, and be better beyond these 16 days...........

Imagine this. You know an Aisha. She’s a resilient advocate for peace in her community, but as a woman with a disability, her journey hasn’t been easy. Too often, barriers like stigma and lack of access shut women like her out of decision-making spaces. But imagine the power of a peacebuilding table where every voice truly matters. We’re working to break these barriers, and create opportunities for women with disabilities to lead, share their stories, and shape lasting peace. Because when every woman can contribute, communities thrive. Join us as we promote inclusion and build a world where no one is left behind. 🌍 #InclusionMatters #WomenWithDisabilities #GrFCDO

🟠 As part of our #16Days of Activism campaign, today we feature a peer work initiative from Austria: Peer training "because I experienced it myself" for women with #homelessness experience, by lilawohnt. This training is designed for women who have faced homelessness, often linked to experiences of gender-based violence. Upon completion, participants can apply their lived experiences by working as peers in the homelessness sector, offering support that is rooted in empathy and shared experiences. ➡️Women with experience of homelessness gain more employment opportunities and the chance to have a positive impact through peer work. ➡️ Organisations benefit from the inclusion of peer team members, learning how to improve their services through real-life perspectives Find out more about lilawohnt: https://lilawohnt.at/

This week marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women—a vital moment to raise awareness about a critical issue affecting millions worldwide. 🌍 But here’s something worth reflecting on: the seeds of a violence-free world are planted early. 💡 At my 1.5-year-old son’s kindergarten, they approach this topic in ways that are creative, age-appropriate, and deeply impactful. For example, they’ve been doing amazing projects during this period, such as: ✅ Wall paintings to explore kindness and inclusion ✅ Theater projects designed to introduce children to concepts of respect and empathy in a playful way ✅ Parent-inclusion initiatives to bring the conversation into families’ daily lives And yes, one activity even included belly painting (yes, on my baby!)—a playful, symbolic way to create awareness that children absorb values from their environment. 🎨 It’s incredible to see how these initiatives, even at such a young age, can sow the seeds of equality, respect, and non-violence. Because building a world without violence starts here. It starts now. It starts with all of us. 💪 How does your community or workplace engage with this topic? I’d love to hear! #StopViolenceAgainstWomen #Inclusion #KindnessMatters #Parenting
