Winter storms are impacting many southern states along with parts of the Northeast and Midwest. We urge drivers to stay off the roads when possible, but if you must drive, make sure to practice safe driving and prepare your vehicle using the following tips- 1. Reduce speed on icy roadways. 2. Turn on headlights when traveling through snowy conditions to increase visibility. 3. Make sure your vehicle is packed with an emergency roadside kit that includes items like jumper cables, reflectors/flares, flashlight, extra batteries, tire pressure gauge, blankets, etc.
