Key Functions Coordinates and conducts experiments, to help design and carry out research projects in the research laboratories in accordance with established protocols. Applies the standard techniques of molecular biology, biochemistry and cell biology. Keeps cell banks and archival samples organized. Reads and keeps current on literature and techniques related to field of investigation. Generates and analyzes data for presentations and publications. Confers with superiors regarding new procedures and modifies them according to the needs of the experiment/project. Records and evaluates data obtained in accordance with methods requested and assists with writing reports. The Ideal Candidate will have experience in high throughput sample processing and liquid handling system. The candidate will have a sound working knowledge and trouble shooting skills in at least some of the following techniques: Cell culture, cell transfection, cell transduction. Lentiviral production. Cell proliferation assays, kill curve assays. Cell lysis, protein preparation, western blotting. Antibody assay using flow cytometry. DNA/RNA isolation from cultured cells and tissue samples. cDNA synthesis, RT-PCR, q-PCR, multiplex PCR amplification. Molecular cloning, ligation, bacteria transformation. Animal handling, surgical procedure, tissue isolation and processing. Next generation sequencing sample preparation is a plus. Implemented procedures necessary for routine H&E slides, special stains, immunohistochemistry and other technical procedures are required. Must be able to learn new techniques as required by the scope of the research. My academic journey has been a culmination of dedication, passion, and countless hours in the lab, where I've delved deep into the intricate world of research. Through stints at esteemed institutions like the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center, Serum Institute of India Pvt. Ltd., and Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer(ACTREC), where I've gained hands-on experience and refining my skills in various aspects of molecular biology and biochemistry. 🔬 Throughout my academic journey, I've had the opportunity to immerse myself in a wide array of laboratory techniques, from the fundamentals such as mammalian cell culture, ELISA, gel electrophoresis, Western Blots and qPCR, to more advanced methodologies like flow cytometry and state-of-the-art techniques such as ATAC-Seq, RNA-Seq and CUT&RUN. I am also proficient in nucleic acid extraction, isolation, and purification techniques, bacterial transformations, plasmid isolation, and lentivirus generation. 🤝 Beyond technical proficiency, I bring to the table a well-rounded skillset characterized by strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities. I thrive in dynamic environments where teamwork and innovation are paramount. 🚀 As I embark on the next chapter of my career, I am eager to channel my passion for scientific discovery into a laboratory scientist role within the biotechnology industry.
