We are proud to offer state-of-the-art critical component storage facilities to meet the needs of rotating equipment customers in the Gulf Coast region. Our service centers located in Baton Rouge and New Orleans, Louisiana, and Houston, Texas, offer 38,500 combined square feet of climate-controlled vertical rotor storage, as well as storage solutions for all rotating equipment and fixed critical components such as large valves, actuators, and exchanger tubes. We also offer full inspection services for components, both going into and coming out of storage. This includes: • Blast or steam cleaning • Checking and recording of critical dimensions and runout • Visual inspection and nondestructive testing • Dynamic balancing • A condition report and repair recommendations • Completion of repair work before storage Check out our video: https://lnkd.in/ejWR3GQA Learn more: https://lnkd.in/e8GT356U

#Over_pressure_protection_for_Pumps_all_types_and_centrifugal_compressors 1.For pumps and centrifugal compressors, the pressure rating of the suction side up to and including the suction isolation point (e.g., isolation valve, ESD, or ROV) and the discharge side SHALL [PS] be the #same or provided with overpressure protection. A nominally sized Pressure Relief Valve (PRV), (e.g., a D orifice PRV) can be used for overpressure protection. Rationale: To prevent overpressure of the suction piping and nozzle when the suction is isolated (due to leakage through valves). Requirement for purchased rotating equipment is for the suction nozzle to be rated the same as the discharge nozzle. 2.For existing pumps and centrifugal compressors, if the pump discharge valve flange class is greater than the flange class shown in #Table below overpressure protection during isolation shall be by one of the following: a) a nominally sized Pressure Relief Valve (PRV), (e.g., a D orifice PRV) installed downstream of the suction block valve; b) overpressure protection measures identified by a risk assessment. For low risk and/or low isolation frequencies administrative controls might be sufficient. See Section 4.4.16 of API STD 521.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐎𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞? When leakage is discovered in pipeline, valve, flange or any joint, there are some options available for customer. The first one is to do nothing and live with this leakage until Unit/Plant Shutdown and then repair it. It’s only possible if the type of leaking medium is within acceptable limits from process, safety and environmental points of view. If the leakage is non-acceptable and should be eliminated – the task starts to be more complicated. Simplest example is when damaged process line has a reserve/parallel pipeline. In this case line will be isolated and repaired with traditional methods such as replacing gasket, valve, joint, bend or piece of pipe and etc. Production of the Plant will not be altered. When ruptured part of line has no reserve – you can stop the Plant and this way sacrifice the production on a very large scale. OR, you can install specifically design Clamp on live pipeline, inject sealing compound to it and eliminate the leakage 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧! See example on the video!

Relief Valves in Parallel: Never provide parallel valves open to the process when both are fully rated for the maximum load! As James R. Lawrence Sr discussed in his paper (2010), over the past years, there has been a rise in the incorrect use of parallel relief valves (pressure safety valves). This misuse involves leaving two or more relief valves of the same full capacity open to the process. This practice seems to have started when operators, with good intentions but a mistaken belief, decided to open a standby valve, thinking that if one valve is safe, then two must be safer. Potential Issues: -The facility line-up at the time of an accident or event does not match the authority approved P&ID. -Relief valve pairs may chatter on and off thus decreasing capacity possibly below the amount required to maintain MAWP. -Relief valve damage. -Damage to piping and/or pipe supports. Note that the phenomenon of stress is cumulative. -Flare or relief system overload with resultant overpressure. -Relief into the process area due to damaged headers or venting at unexpected locations.
