Governor Phil Murphy has announced $2.6 million in FY2025 Transit Village grants to support development projects in eight municipalities across five counties! The Transit Village Program creates a vibrant, walkable, and sustainable communities near transit hubs. These funds will help municipalities plan and develop mixed-use, pedestrian-friendly neighborhoods where residents can live, shop, work, and play—all while reducing reliance on cars. This initiative aligns with NJ TRANSIT's mission to enhance accessibility, improve quality of life, and promote smart growth across New Jersey. This new differentiated funding will support transformative, community-led initiatives across the UK, unlocking the huge potential for positive change in rural communities. The aim is to support innovative solutions that will “power up, not prop up” communities, inspiring change and encouraging economic vibrancy. Organisations can apply for grants of up to £25,000 over a period of 24 months to deliver activities along the themes of: • Keeping young people in the countryside • Powering up rural communities • Increasing environmental sustainability • Building emergency resilience in rural areas. This funding is available to community organisations that have an income of less than £500,000.

Creating cozy homes across Wales🏠 We’re making homes warmer, greener, and more energy-efficient in Wales through the Warm Homes Nest scheme, delivered on behalf of the Welsh Government. 💡 In 2023-24, the scheme advised over 12,800 households and improved energy efficiency in 4,800 homes, saving families £595 annually on average. 🤝 Working with local partners, we’ve supported vulnerable households and communities in tackling fuel poverty. 🏠 The next phase of our 7-year contract will focus on low-carbon technologies, continuing to help Welsh families save money and reduce their carbon footprints. Additional criteria The Community Capacity Grants Programme has a keen interest in community wealth building and is committed to funding the following community priorities: Strengthening Local Supply Chains through Innovation: Funding projects that promote and enhance local supply chains, contributing to their resilience and sustainability within the community. Revitalizing Abandoned or Underutilized Buildings/Land: Supporting initiatives that breathe new life into neglected structures or land, maximizing their potential for the benefit of the community and promoting economic development.
