Save the Sparrow Initiative At Ratnamani, we believe in giving back to our community and protecting our environment. Our Save the Sparrow Initiative aims to prevent the extinction of house sparrows, a vital part of our ecosystem that has been declining due to habitat loss and urbanization. With great pride, we distributed 1,82,000 sparrow nests across various communities, encouraging people to create safe havens for these charming birds. Our initiative is not just about providing nests; it’s about fostering awareness and inspiring collective action to preserve our feathered friends. Why House Sparrows Matter: * Ecosystem Balance: Sparrows help control insect populations and contribute to pollination. * Cultural Significance: These birds are a symbol of our connection to nature and the environment. * Biodiversity: Protecting sparrows helps maintain the delicate balance of our ecosystem. Join us in this noble cause! Together, we can make a significant impact and ensure that future generations can enjoy the beauty and song of house sparrows. Let’s create a greener, more sustainable world—one nest at a time! #Ratnamani #RatnamaniMetalsandTubes #SaveTheSparrow #RatnamaniCSR #EnvironmentalAwareness #Sustainability #CommunityImpact #ProtectNature

We recently collaborated with the Clonbeale Peatland Conservation Project in County Offaly in order to raise awareness for critical environmental initiatives. This peatland restoration project is being undertaken by the Tullamore Lions Club, spearheaded by member Michael Caroll. The project is working to bring the bog back to life, reducing carbon emissions, supporting biodiversity, and creating a sustainable space for the local community. Through thoughtful visuals and strategic content, we helped communicate their mission to a wider audience, further aided by a children’s book created by Tullamore Lions Club along with Dolores Keaveney to share this critical information with a younger audience - titled ‘The Lions, The bees, and The bogs’. If your organization has a story worth sharing, we’d love to help amplify your impact. #LionsCLub #CharityIreland #ClonbealePeatlandConservationProject

Protecting Nature, Preserving Biodiversity 🌍 As part of Colloide’s ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, our team joined forces with The Conservation Volunteers a few months ago to protect the unique ecosystem of the Lough shore. By clearing invasive scrub, we’ve helped restore balance to this vital habitat, allowing native species to thrive and biodiversity to flourish. This project is just one of the many ways we’re working throughout the year to make a positive impact on the environment and the communities we serve. From sustainability projects to community outreach, we’re committed to creating a better future for all. 💚 Learn more on our initiatives: https://buff.ly/3KWM5YH 🌱 Together, every step we take leads to a healthier planet. Human-Elephant Conflict (HEC) is alarmingly on the rise in India. According to data from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), HEC results in approximately 400 human deaths annually (more than 605 in 2023), 100 elephant deaths, damage to 10,000 to 15,000 properties, and crop damage to 1 million hectares of farmland, directly affecting over 500,000 families annually. Delighted to share an exciting feature about our project, Project Edible Forest. Through innovative approaches like beehive fencing, we are making a significant impact on reducing HEC and supporting local communities. Discover how we are fostering harmony, sustainable livelihoods, and long-term ecological restoration.

Creating greener spaces for our communities 🌱 We were delighted to recently welcome Councillor Jennifer Fradgley, Chair of Stratford-on-Avon District Council, to join our team of colleague volunteers in planting 900 hedgerow whips, 900 flower bulbs, 600m2 of wildflower meadow, 200m2 of naturalised grassland and five fruit trees at our Wattons Lodge Independent Living scheme, to provide our customers there with better access to a more biodiverse and high-quality outdoor space. The planting day is just one of the ways in which we are working towards our commitment to ensure that 30% of our outdoor spaces enable nature’s recovery by 2030, as part of our Biodiversity Approach and aligned with The Wildlife Trusts’ ‘30 by 30’ campaign. The Essex Local Nature Recovery Strategy public consultation closes in less than 1 week! Please make sure to get your responses in by Friday 25 October. More than ever, wildlife and their habitats are under threat for survival. It’s time for us to all play our part in assisting nature recovery in our county. The Essex Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS) provides a new vision for our natural spaces, and the draft strategy is open for public consultation for your input and feedback. Introduced by the Environment Act in 2021, the strategy identifies opportunities for the creation of new habitats, which are most likely to provide the greatest benefit for nature and the wider environment. It has been created with input from landowners, farmers, environmental NGOs, charities, local authorities and members of the public. The draft LNRS outlines biodiversity priorities for nature recovery in the county as well as a series of proposed actions, known as potential measures, to achieve these. Your participation is crucial for delivering a robust strategy which collectively we can use to work towards nature recovery, shaping a thriving natural environment for Essex. To take part in the public consultation, please visit https://lnkd.in/eYYqNitb
