The Elos company has 13 sites across three continents, and we know you love to find out more about them and how they play their part in offering a local service with global reach. Today it's the turn of the Dauchingen site: 1. The Josef Ganter Feinmechanik site is 1.450 m², employs 60 people, and is located in Dauchingen, Germany. The company was founded in 1926 and became part of Klingel in 2015. In 2023 the whole Klingel group was acquired by Elos Medtech. 2. In Dauchingen we produce dental ratchets, mandrels and implants for the dental and orthopedic industry. 3. Our most innovative product is the One-piece-ratchet for our dental customers. Since it doesn't need to be taken apart to be cleaned, it saves a considerable time for preparation in practice. 4. We produce mandrels fully automated. We manufacture the individual parts on our CNC lathes. If necessary, we grind the shafts with our robot for centerless round grinding, and last but not least, we assemble the mandrels with an automatic rotary transfer machine. 5. The photovoltaic system on the roof as part of the building is built of wood under sustainable conditions, with underfloor heating and flexibly adjustable walls. We also use rainwater to flush toilets. If you want to know more about our services check out our website. My name is Masoud, and as the production #manager of #Avita dental implant manufacturing lin. I've witnessed the transformative power of #teamwork and #innovation. Here's a short story that encapsulates our journey on year 1402: Precision In the bustling heart of #KFP factory, amidst the hum of machinery, lay our challenge for the year: enhancing the precision of our dental implants in #Narrow line. Our #goal was not just to meet #industry standards, but to redefine them. It was a regular Tuesday morning when the breakthrough happened. Our #R&D team, after months of collaboration with production, had developed the new line for mini implants. This design promised not only strength but also good fitting in the assembly. Transitioning to this design wasn't easy. It required recalibrating machines, retraining staff, and revising #protocols. But as a team united by a common vision, we embraced the change. Result The results were nothing short of remarkable. Our narrow implants line has improved and now, leading to a significant increase in surgeon preference and patient #satisfaction. Reflection As I walk through the line, observing the seamless dance of man and machine, I'm reminded that innovation is not just about #technology—it's about the people who make it happen. This story is a testament to our #commitment to #excellence and the spirit of innovation that drives us. Here's to another year of setting new #benchmarks in the dental implant industry. #Innovation #Teamwork #DentalImplants #ManufacturingExcellence

This article by Science Daily is an intriguing report on how surgical and engineering innovations enable unprecedented control over every finger of a bionic hand. Prosthetic limbs are the most common solution to replace a lost extremity, but they are often difficult to control and limited in their movements. The best way to control a bionic hand is to use the electrical activity generated by the remnant muscles in the residual limb, which can be contracted voluntarily by the patient. However, this method becomes challenging when the amputation level is above the elbow, as there are not enough muscles left to command the many robotic joints needed to fully restore the function of an arm and hand. Have you ever built a new manufacturing capability into your business? Investing in the latest and most capable technology is only one piece of a larger ecosystem required to support successful production of orthopedic devices. It also requires significant time and resource investments to build the support, foundation, systems, processes and expertise. Melissa Case Fowler, MBA, PMP and Julianne Early-Meehan walk you through the considerations you should have when building an additive manufacturing ecosystem that will deliver consistent, repeatable and cost-effective results. https://lnkd.in/eiVevEUA #orchidorthopedicsolutions #evolvewithzerocomprise #largejoint #3dprinting #orchidadditiveshowcase #additivemanufacturing

A state-of-the-art facility with expertise in orthopedic, spine, dental, surgical robotics, and medical devices needed to upgrade its dust collection system within its production facility. The application was for a sanding and buffing operation. The pedestal sanders and buffers were connected to an undersized and inefficient dust collector which resulted in fugitive dust escaping the system. This dust would settle on finished parts and work surfaces and cause the shop to look dirty. Hastings installed an IVEC cartridge dust collector ducted to five drops on double-wheel pedestal buffers. Modifications were made to each buffer to add better hoods and duct connections to ensure the dust was contained and captured. Each pedestal triggers an IVEC gate to open and start the dust collector. The dust collector operates automatically and modulates based on filter pressure and demand from the buffers. To protect the people and facility, a spark cooler was included in the system design. The result is a much cleaner room and no dust escaping the process. The system has been installed for five years and the customer is pleased with the performance and filter life.
